Super fast efficient shipping, quality and quantity of parts, ease of assembly were all positives. Since my review the coop was hit by straight line winds that took down many trees. The chickens stayed safe in the egg box, the coop was secured with the supplied equipment. Straight line winds at 70-80mph not damage or tear the roof of the coop. So well done R&R! Thank you!

I bought the Roost and Root Starter XL chicken coop. I added the waterer and feeder. These features and this coop make chicken keeping an absolute joy. I cannot overstate how helpful the waterer and feeder are. Since the chickens have to reach up to get the waterer, they don’t poop all over their water. My three chickens learned how to use the waterer very easily. The coop is also easy to clean which is very important to me. Solid construction. Seems like a very sturdy and high quality product. It took my husband 3 hours to build it with “help” from our three small children.

All in all, it was a great Experience had some issues in the beginning my feeder and water system was damaged and the name on the chicken coop wasn’t correct I gave them a call and Courtney helped me out with all my issues and resolved them right away. The chicken coop is great quality. I will give a Review on trustpilot a few months from now and talk about how the chicken coop is holding up. thank Courtney for the help much appreciated.

I ordered my coop through Roost & Root because it was a family business here in the USA & because they used my favorite wood, cedar. The coops are unique in design & that too caught my eye. I’m in my late 60’s & I was able to seal the wood & build it all by myself. I would say my only challenge was leveling & squaring the bottom frame. Once I got that tackled it was smooth sailing. I love my coop & so do my girls! The folks at Roost & Root were very helpful in helping me choose the extras needed for my location. The coop came in several boxes & I was actually amazed that they gave you everything needed as for screws & hardware neatly packed in their own segmented container!!! Everyone that sees the coop is amazed at how pretty it is! I highly recommend Roost & Root coops for the quality of their product & their customer service!

We purchased a loft chicken coop and 8 garden boxes. Customer service team was super knowledgeable, patient answering allllll my questions, and easy to reach (had to call a few times to narrow things down). All items were packed with care (no broken parts during shipping). The coop was a project to assemble (but easy and clear directions helped). LOVE the coop. It’s the Taj Mahal of chicken coops! Ha. Our hens are very happy with their new space. Garden boxes are the exactly what I was looking for. Super sturdy and beautiful. I looked all over for heavy duty beds-these are perfect! If you’re looking for garden boxes or a coop, this IS the company to buy from. Super super well made and made to last!! Well worth the money spent!! Thank you Roost and Root

I have had an original Round Top coop since 2017 and it has been great. It was easy to assemble, and the parts fit together nicely. Unfortunately , the Starter Chicken Coop Model 2 that this review addresses is not the value for the money I hoped it would be. The quality of the wood and hardware are very good. They are much better than the foreign coops. However, the assembly was difficult because the panels and doors didn’t fit together well. After careful squaring and leveling panel edges and doors had to be sanded down to open and close properly. Some of the joints held together by staples had separated during shipment. Right now the design doesn’t fit my 4, 7 week old chicks. I purchased ‘booster’ perches until the chicks are big enough to safely access on the coop perch. It appears that a ladder or ramp is needed to reach the perch and egg box. I also had some trouble maneuvering the automatic waterer in place, and will probably need help removing it for cleaning. I do like the automatic feeder, and that the entire front panel is removable for cleaning. Based on my experience, the main area of improvement for the company would be quality control.

We recently purchased the Round Top XL coop, which was our second coop from Roost and Root. Could not be more pleased with the quality and attention to detail given in preparing the coop for assembly. My wife and I had no issues with assembly and look forward to our flock enjoying their new space. (Actually I will also enjoy not having the bend over to clean !!!)

Sturdy, quality coop. Lovely design. Helpful and responsive customer service. We couldn’t be happier. Will likely be coming back for one of those quaint greenhouses as well! Thanks Roost & Root!
