I purchased a Roofnest Falcon EVO 3 XL approximately one year ago, which is when it began failing me. The tent is well designed and is aesthetically pleasing. However it is in no way waterproof. Every time I’ve opened this tent to use it - and I mean this literally, every single time - the interior of the clamshell tent has been soaked with water. Wet to the extent that I could wring water out of the memory foam mattress it cane with. The only thing less reliable than the waterproofing of this rooftop tent is Roofnest’s customer service. H***** is the customer service representative that was assigned to my warranty claim and - for the better part of a year - refused to handle my claim as anything other than condensation building up in the tent. My first question would be - who would buy one of these tents knowing you’re expected to open it weekly to air the tent out? That is a huge design flaw. Secondly, there was so much water in my tent - which appropriately latched - that condensation build up was almost an impossibility. A year has passed and trying to get Roofnest to replace the tent or issue a refund has proven fruitless. I strongly recommend buying a rooftop tent from a different company based in their customer service alone. The tent will be sufficient for your needs only if you live in a truly arid climate with almost no rain.

The best customer service I have had probably ever. We had a few issues come up on our roofnest mattresses that came in our tent where the lamination started to peel off before we even used it. The had speedy email responses and shipped us a new one immediately. This issue happened twice and from the time I shared issue to the time I received the new products was about 2-3 business days. Blown away by their swift work and kind workers! Thank you Hunter for your help!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Customer Service from Roofnest! After purchasing the Roofnest Condor 2 XXL, I faced a real challenge finding the right bed rack for my Nissan Titan that would meet the required specifications. It became a frustrating process, and I spent days calling companies all across the United States trying to find the right solution. After nearly three days of searching, I was seriously considering canceling my order because I simply couldn't find the bed rack I needed. That's when the Roofnest team truly impressed me. Throughout the entire process, they provided continuous support, detailed explanations, and numerous references to help guide me in the right direction. They took the time to answer my questions, review options, and explain technical details that helped me better understand what would work with my setup. A special thank you to Adrian, Giorgio, and Jamy. Their communication was exceptional. They spent considerable time on the phone with me, patiently listening, researching solutions, and doing everything possible to help me find the right bed rack. I never felt rushed or pressured. Instead, I felt supported every step of the way. What stood out most was their genuine concern for my satisfaction. Even when I mentioned canceling my order because of the delays and difficulties, they remained understanding, respectful, and focused on helping me rather than simply making a sale. In today's world, it is rare to find a company that truly cares about its customers the way Roofnest does. Their professionalism, patience, and dedication turned what had become a frustrating experience into a positive one. I highly recommend Roofnest to anyone considering a rooftop tent. The quality of their customer service is remarkable, and their commitment to helping customers is second to none. Bravo, Roofnest! And a special Bravo to Adrian, Giorgio, and Jamy for their outstanding support and remarkable attitude. Bertrand

We purchased our Roofnest during COVID and have used it a lot over the past six years. Recently we were camping at a NASCAR race in Martinsville VA. There was a storm rolled through and we experienced almost 50degree temp change in about 5 hours. The wind was 15-20 MPH with gusts around 30 MPH. We had to rachet down the ladder because the wind was lifting it up off the ground. I thought for sure I would get up in the morning and it would be ripped to shreds. It never leaked and was in perfect shape. Other than the clear coat is flaking off, the tent is still great.

I ordered a Meadowlark XL and one of the support poles had an issue and couldn't be used out of the box. It's been a month and a half since I filed a warranty claim, and I still don't have a response from Roofnest. Terrible, terrible customer service.

This is my second experience having a crack form on top of a hard top roofnest and cause a massive leak that ruined all bedding and the mattress on a two week trip in the Canadian Rockies costing me over 2K in accommodations to save the trip. Roofnest had sent me a replacement top three years ago and I'd hardly used it since. This time customer service suggested putting JB weld on it or paying $500 to buy another roof. They are high in the night to think I'd put a third roof on this thing. As I shared with them, it is headed to the dumpster. I suggest IKamper or a trailer over trusting any Roofnest product. These tents are clearly defective and the patronizing response from customer service doesn't help.

The tent itself is well-made and performs as expected. However, my experience with the company’s customer service has been disappointing. Two days after I purchased the tent, the company launched a significant promotional offer that included nearly \$600 worth of savings/bonuses. I had been receiving frequent promotional emails, so I was well aware of the offer. Given the close timing, I reached out to ask if I might qualify for one of the items included in the promotion—not the entire bundle, just a single item. Unfortunately, the response I received from Hunter was dismissive and lacked basic customer empathy. Rather than acknowledging the timing or showing any flexibility, the reply simply stated the obvious and ignored the larger context, all with a tone that came across as condescending. This experience ultimately changed my perception of the company. I had intended to place a larger order to reward top performers on my team with something different. However, the tone and handling of my reasonable request caused me to reconsider further purchases. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. Customer service plays a critical role in brand loyalty, and a more thoughtful response would have gone a long way.

I bought the Roofnest Falcon 3 EVO XL rooftop tent for over $3,000 expecting a premium product. After less than a month, the outer shell began delaminating. No extreme weather — just moderate summer conditions in Colorado. Roofnest refused a refund and only offered a shell replacement, even though this is clearly a materials and quality issue, not a rare defect. For something marketed as rugged and reliable, this is unacceptable. I’m now documenting the entire case with photos, videos, receipts, and communication logs, and will be publishing everything on Reddit, YouTube, and overlanding forums to warn other buyers. If you want gear that actually lasts, look elsewhere. Premium pricing, cheap construction.
