What I saw was $49 instead of $149 for the first month. My surprise when I got billed for both
Not sure if I’m going to continue with this game

Hi there, we’re sorry to hear about any confusion around pricing. The Ro Body membership and medication are billed separately. Membership is $149/month, with prepaid options that can lower the monthly equivalent to as little as $74/month, while medication costs vary based on treatment, dose, and insurance coverage.
You can review a full breakdown of membership and medication costs here: https://ro.co/weight-loss/pricing/. We’ll also be reaching out directly to review your charges and see how we can help.

I don’t know if I’m even going to receive this item and which one it will be. Also the final charge, did my insurance cover it and will I receive advice on when to increase dosage.
Response from RoAug 19, 2026
Hi there, we’re sorry the order, insurance, and dosing information hasn’t been clear. Once prescribed, you can view your medication, order status, and tracking information in your Ro account, and your Care Team can help clarify your insurance coverage.
Your provider will also review your progress and advise you on whether and when a dose increase is appropriate. We’ll be reaching out directly to help clarify your specific order and next steps.

I was offered a discount at the beginning of filling out the online questionnaire. I was charged 39 dollars. However at the end of the questionnaire I was charged an additional 149.00. It was literally impossible to speak to a live person to find out why I was charged twice!
Response from RoAug 19, 2026
Hi there, we’re sorry for any confusion here. The $39 introductory charge applies to the Ro Body membership, while medication is billed separately, which may account for the additional $149 charge.
Please reach out to [email protected] for assistance with reviewing both charges with you and make sure you have the support you need.

The problem I see with Ro is that…
**Update: After posting this review, the most recent prescribing doctor finally made contact with me after weeks of nothing. However, he showed no accountability and gave very little info (basically, I could pay cash and there were no withdrawal symptoms from getting cut off the meds - basic stuff you already know from looking at a website.) So I decided to make a request to go the cash-pay route and a different doctor replied within MINUTES and updated my prescription and initiated the mail order minutes after that. This reflects an extreme bias to transactional patient interactions and does nothing to allay my concerns that doctors are just prescribers and nothing more. If a transaction is on the line, you’ll get fast attention. If it’s just your health you want to talk about, prepare to wait and don’t expect much.**
The problem I see with Ro is that doctors are very far removed from care. I have never had a doctor reply to a question or concern. They do the prescribing, send a templated message, and then disappear. I hear from RNs or a patient advocate when I report symptoms or ask questions, but never a doctor.
In my case, I had to switch insurance companies during my care. The first approved coverage of my medication, the next denied it. I have asked to hear from a doctor because I want one to call the insurance medical director, a reasonable step in the formal process following a denied prior authorization. A Ro RN tells me it’s non-standard for them to take that step - end of discussion. I have been denied contact with a doctor even after explicitly asking to hear from one on the matter. They are in charge of my care, but they are unreachable.
If you’re considering paying for this service, I’d have to recommend that you go to a local doctor instead if having contact with a doctor during the course of your care means anything to you. I am now locked into a prepaid membership for eight more months, without covered medication and without the ability to reach a doctor. Not good value.

Be more up front that you’re paying both a monthly fee ON TOP of the medication. If I wasn’t paying attention, I would have been paying $450/month without realizing by time I reached the max dose.

Hi there,
We truly apologize for any confusion regarding our billing structure.
The Body membership begins with a $39 fee for your initial consultation. If approved for GLP-1 medication, you then pay a recurring membership fee of $149/month for the Body Program subscription.
Medication costs are separate and will depend on if you use your personal insurance.
We do also offer Prepay & Save options for both medication and the membership. We aim to offer transparent pricing, and this can all be found on our website here: ro.co/weight-loss/pricing
Please reach out to [email protected] for any additional assistance.

I thought the total cost was $149 per month but it's TWICE that much with the membership. I need to cancel my membership and subscription.
Response from RoAug 19, 2026
Hi there, we’re sorry for the confusion around the total cost. The Ro Body membership and medication are billed separately, so the $149 cost does not include the medication.
We do also offer Prepay & Save options for both medication and the membership. We aim to offer transparent pricing, and this can all be found on our website here: ro.co/weight-loss/pricing
If you’d like to cancel, you can manage your membership at https://ro.co/my/memberships/ or contact our Care Team at [email protected] for help with your membership and medication subscription.

Liked the convenience
Liked the convenience. However it seems like the price is very deceptive becausebI needed the higher dosage which ended up being more expensive. Ill probably keep it for now till I find a cheaper option.
Response from RoAug 17, 2026
Hi there,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad the convenience has been helpful, and we understand your concerns about pricing. Medication costs can vary by dose, but you aren't required to increase your dose if your current dose is working well. Your provider will work with you to determine the appropriate dose based on your progress and response to treatment.
You can review the full pricing breakdown anytime at ro.co/weight-loss/pricing/.
