I think my experience with both my mentor and programme manager has been really great. I have felt quite supported throughout this process. However, from the writing side, I feel like there was a slight lack of support which also led to me being off track from that side of things. But I also think that my research was a tiny bit ambitious given my timeline for this programme. Thus, I think a little more guidance with respect to the feasibility of the research as well as sessions about how each section in the paper should be structured would have helped me feel more confident in my work. But overall, I had a really great experience with this programme.

The interview and onboarding process were exceptionally smooth, and I appreciated how RISE took the time to listen to my goals and ensure my interests were thoughtfully considered. The administrative team has also been consistently responsive and helpful in addressing my questions. I do feel that there are a few areas where communication could be strengthened. I did encounter a minor scheduling hiccup with my writing coach, and earlier communication would have been beneficial. I would also welcome a bit more frequent communication from my new Program Coordinator, particularly around progress updates. That said, my mentor has been very knowledgeable and consistently supportive throughout my project. Overall, my experience with RISE has been very good so far. Thank you.

Rise research has given me a valuable opportunity to work with an experienced mentor on my chosen topic of research. Not only has it broadened my knowledge of the field, it also has taught me more about writing a research paper.
