Revolution PrepReviews of revolutionprep.com

Revolution Prep's on-line small tutoring group proved a convenient way to include SAT training into our son's busy schedule. It was also highly effective at preparing adequately for the test and enabling him to increase his original score from 1290 to 1440 which we are obviously delighted about. We can highly recommend Revolution Prep!!

Small class sizes ensure everyone has an opportunity to ask questions Instructor is knowledgable and provides helpful tips. The only improvement I would suggest is sending materials that needed to be printed be sent earlier in the week

I am a host mom for an international student and had many (MANY) concerns - as did my student's biological parents - regarding his ability to be successful given his English as second language struggles. The Revolution Prep Team heard my concerns and paired my student with the most kind and patient tutor who worked with international students in the past. She not only taught him strategies for a standardized test, but in his regular English classes as well. Overall, my student improved 20 points on the ACT across the four sections (the biggest jump being in English - improved EIGHT points in that section alone). The first person my student wanted to call when he got his scores back was his Revolution Prep tutor because he knew she'd be so very proud. The whole RP team took an interest in my student and my role as his "parent" both in terms of his tutoring with them, but also outside of the RP world in his regular classes. I can't speak highly enough about the RP team from day one - the best investment!

Revolution was professional, flexible, diligent and most of all, genuinely committed to our daughter's success on the SAT. Our daughter still had to put in the hard work, but Revolution provided expert support and guidance to help her prepare efficiently and effectively. We are very happy we engaged Revolution and would do it again without hesitation.

Don't trust this company. I signed up my son with Revolution Prep a year prior to him needing to take SAT. The company ashured me one year of working with them gives ample time to improve his score. They promised score improvement over time, a custom-tailored approach and told me that they would establish the baseline of how he is doing now and to which lebel they can increase his score. They pushed me several times to buy larger and larger packages of hours. My son's SAT score started at 1,100, they told me they can get him to 1,300 based on home tests (possibly even 1,400). I spent a significant amount of $$ to have my son study with them once a week over a year. He took his second SAT this month and we just got the score - 1,100. In addition to 0 score improvement, I could tell there was nothing "custom" about their approach to my son's learning at all. I also was promised that my son would work with th same tutor all along (it was very important to me as he doesn't form relationships easily) - but both the tutor and account manager we started with quit. Perhaps because they realized this company has no integrity and doesn't do anything they promise they would do?

Really super job preparing my daughter. Thank You.

My son started his practice SAT with a baseline score of 1360.  The Revolution Prep Academic Advisor, Sabrina, went over his practice SAT scores with me and pointed out areas of the test where the scores could be improved (mostly reading/writing).  I signed him up for 24 hours of private tutoring with Julius.  Julius is an excellent tutor who is patient and has good instructional skills.  He gave my son assignments and had him retake practice tests.  With any wrong answers, he would ask my son why he chose that answer and then would break down with him through critical thinking, why the correct answer is the better choice. This helped my son change his way of looking at the question and select correct answers.  After tutoring sessions were completed, he took the actual SAT exam and scored 1550.  We couldn't be happier! His score jumped nearly 200 points!   Here are the Pros of Revolution Prep: The one-on-one tutoring helped to hone in and focus on specific problem areas of test taking.  The video conference calls were convenient since it could be done from the comfort of home.  Tutoring availability times were plentiful so that it did not interfere with after-school activities.   The Cons: It is NOT cheap! The tutoring sessions cost about $100/hour, but the end result was worth it for us as it is an investment towards my child's future. I highly recommend Revolution Prep to anyone looking to increase their test scores.
