Resume Profs made it easy to download my current resume and provide updates. The finished product was very nice and I am looking forward to getting it out in front of recruiters at my company! The only thing I would suggest, and the only thing that made it four out of five stars, is better communication. I only ever received an email telling me the first draft was done. I added comments to the original draft, but then I waited a week and never heard anything. So, I logged on and chatted with my writer and he stated it would be done in a few hours. Again, I received no email, I had to log on and see if it was completed. I then let him know it looked good and to proceed with the final draft, and once again, I never received email feedback? So for improvements to the process, I would suggest constant email contact with the client so they know exactly what is going on in the process and when the resume is complete. Overall, a good experience and I have already recommended them to friends.

I was very excited to use Resume Profs after speaking with their team. I needed some slight help with getting over the hurdle of writing about myself and my work experience. Once I received the first draft of my resume, I was impressed by the verbiage used to describe my various jobs. Although I found the resume to be clunky in design, they were responsive and made the edits needed to slim down my resume. They also provided editable versions for me to make additional changes. The team has been responsive to emails, which is great. But, there is a slight lag in production, as I have been waiting for an update to my LinkedIn Profile for a few weeks now. Overall, I think that they are a solid resource for those who need the initial push towards writing their resume, which can be a daunting task. But, I would ask for more follow up and adherence to timelines.

I am generally happy with the way my final resume and cover letter turned out. My recommendation for a better overall experience would be to be more engaged through the resume writing process, ask more questions, and make it more personable in order to really achieve the goals that your client is seeking with the finished product. I haven’t yet used my new resume to see the true impact it will have in reaching employers, but I do feel like it is now better designed to attract the roles I am looking for and I appreciate the work that was put into it!
