This company helped me at a decisive moment, since I canceled the policy and they returned the money and recommended that I seek some type of insurance so as not to be helpless in the face of possible accidents. I managed to solve the dilemma and definitely, I stay with Homebody, since they treated me well at all times. Thank you, team.

Scam scam scam they charge after cancelling should be sued and never have anyone answer whatever is going on they need to be sued and run out of business since they basically steal money for no reason after cancellation

I would give - 10 ** if I could. They switched my apt complex in the middle of July. Here we are in Sept still can’t pay rent. There is no way as a biz I would keep this contract. What we had previously was great. Switched to this crap and it took the angry team weeks to process over 200 cashiers checks in August. Holy mother of God. This should an easy and seamless transition.

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service I have never see such pathetic customer service, and they will hang up on you so you can’t go through all their charges with them.

1 star. My lease ended in July and I moved out of the apartment. Somehow Homebody renewed the renters insurance on Aug 15 and charged my card again on Aug 22. I don’t even remember knowingly signing up for this insurance in the first place. Really annoying that a renters insurance policy for an apartment I no longer live in just keeps renewing and charging me unless I manually catch it and cancel it. Check your statements after moving out.

My apartment complex in Oklahoma City switched to Homebody 5 or 6 years ago to “manage” renters liability insurance. Every year from that point on, Homebody has made it extremely difficult to provide proof of liability insurance using another carrier. The first year, they had everybody change the landlord address to some PO Box in Idaho. Then, mid-cycle, they changed the address requirement AGAIN and refused to accept my other insurance policy (which was still in effect and still covered all my obligations under the lease) without telling me, then hit me with a $50 fine for not providing proof of insurance in time. I made the leasing office pay that fine for using a scumbag service. Every year after that, Homebody changed its requirements to demonstrate proof of insurance through another carrier, but constantly bombarded me with offers to become my insurance partner. Their rates are 20 times higher than everybody else's. 20 times higher! Each year I’ve had to send my proof of insurance to the leasing office so they could engage Homebody directly. And guess what? It was such a bad experience for everybody that the landlord FIRED THEM. I’ve contacted their customer service multiple times, and the customer services reps are polite, but powerless. They serve to separate me from anybody with decision making authority. Asking for a manager “goes against policy”. I highly discourage anybody from using Homebody. Imagine how difficult it would be if you actually needed to make a claim?!?
