The tickets were legitimate, but the experience was extremely stressful and risky
I booked two round-trip tickets through this company about two months before my trip, for myself and my girlfriend, traveling from Kansas City to New York. I also paid extra through JetCost for checked baggage, including checked baggage for my girlfriend. After making the reservation and paying, I started receiving emails saying that they had supposedly tried to contact me for the second time. This was not true — they had not contacted me at all before those emails. I called them, and they told me that the price of the tickets had increased. In my case, the difference was not huge, and I agreed to pay it because the final price was still significantly cheaper than booking directly with the airline. During that call, I specifically explained that my girlfriend's ticket included checked baggage, and the representative clearly confirmed that it was included. A few hours later, I received another call from a different representative asking me to confirm the reservation again, even though I had already confirmed it, paid for it, and had already spoken with another representative. I called the first representative to understand what was happening, and he was extremely rude and told me that I had been calling too much. This was very frustrating, especially because it was obvious that their own employees did not communicate with each other. After all of this, I came to Trustpilot and started reading the reviews. Honestly, I immediately regretted booking with them. There were so many negative reviews that I became very concerned about whether I would actually receive my tickets. They told me that I would receive the actual flight information approximately 20 hours before departure. On the day of my flight, I called them when I was within that 20-hour window and asked for my tickets. They said they would send them in the afternoon. I called again in the afternoon, and they said they would send them that evening. And, to be fair, they actually did send them that night. The tickets were legitimate, and I was able to use the reservation directly with the airline. However, there was one major problem: my girlfriend's checked baggage was NOT included, even though I had specifically requested it and paid extra for it when making the reservation. At that point, we decided to simply pay for the checked bag directly with the airline rather than trying to resolve the issue with this company. After everything we had already gone through, we did not want to risk making the situation even more complicated. It is also important to understand that when you pay through this type of service, you are essentially making a reservation through a third party. They may wait until very close to your departure date to actually purchase the airline ticket, presumably to obtain a lower price. This creates a significant risk. In my case, I was lucky and received legitimate tickets, but after reading the other reviews, it is clear that some customers have had much worse experiences, including not receiving their tickets or receiving invalid reservations. Overall, my trip went as planned, and I did eventually receive legitimate tickets. However, the entire process was extremely stressful and required far too much communication and follow-up for something as important as an airline ticket. The price was definitely cheaper than booking directly with the airline, but in my opinion, the savings are not worth the risk and stress. I will NEVER use this company again, and I cannot recommend it. If your trip is important or you absolutely need to be certain that you have a valid ticket, I strongly recommend booking directly with the airline.
