Extremely overpriced service. Shop around, I promise you'll find cheaper and more reliable service elsewhere. I had to call several times for missed pick ups. They routinely left trash behind, strewn all over the road and surrounding property. When I canceled their service, they proceeded to charge me $200 for the next quarter, even though I no longer had an account with them. Not only did they charge me for services no longer being provided, they also over drew my bank account and cost me an overdraft fee. I now have to wait 6 to 8 weeks for them to mail me a check to refund my money, because they allegedly cannot just refund my money directly back into my account. BE WARY OF AUTO PAY WITH THIS COMPANY AND THIS COMPANY IN GENERAL!!!!

UPDATE***After three more tries, I still have not heard back from them. Total failure in the customer service department!!****I'd give them -5 stars if I could. Once again, Republic Services has charged us for an "overage fee" because the front corner of our dumpster was above the rim of the dumpster by a few inches due to a SMALL sized garbage bag being placed in it the end of the previous day. Don't be fooled by their rate quotes. They'll add numerous ridiculous overage charges for anytime the lid is mere inches above the top of the dumpster rim. I could understand when the dumpster is packed so high that the hydraulics cannot lift the container, or if debris in the dumpster catches the edge of dumpster when lifting, OR if the driver actually had to get out of the truck to facilitate dumping, but $54.50 for a SMALL waste basket bag tossed on top??? THIS is how they make their money, by making obscene billing charges. TOTAL RIP OFF. No wonder their reviews are so bad.

I wish I could select no stars. My trash service is frequently missed. I average pick up twice per month. I pay for the entire month. I call to discuss and no one calls back upon promise. My trash is promised to be picked up each time missed and never does anyone return to pick up until the next week. This is NOT okay!

As a recently former employee I can honestly tell you the company as a whole does not care about the employees or the customers. They talk a lot about being driven to excellence and the only thing the entire company is driven to is making a profit. Drivers try to work with customers to ensure they are taken care of and management says no. I personally informed a lot of my customers I was no longer with the company and they actually said they were pulling their contract with Republic because I was the only driver that actually tried to help them. Several years with the company, terminated for making a mistake.

The service they provide is almost non-existent. We (our neighborhood) have complained and nothing is done about the so-called "service". They fail to pick up garbage and recycle frequently and then offer ridiculous excuses for their failure. Driver was on overtime so they sent him home; too windy, new driver-doesn't know the route, and many, many more!! And to top it all off-our bill goes up every 3 months! When I call, all I get are excuses. Then they say they will send us messages about delays and I have never received! Very, very poor service.

The storm damage caused our fence to have to be taken down and rebuilt so all the old planks got neatly piled by the curb like we were instructed to do the first bulk trash day they didn't come get it the second month second bolt trash day they didn't pick it up I called to have it picked up by mist bulk pickup I had to order it three times they still did not come pick it up then to be told after calling a fourth time that oh they don't pick up wood planks fencing okay well then where the heck did all my neighbors fencing go that's not right they missed mine from picking it up because the truck was too full and then when they came back to re pick up they didn't come down to get it when I called and gave an address they still didn't come get it that's not right I pay services to have both pickup now they want to say they changed their policy okay I didn't change it and I'm still paying for it it needs to be picked up they need to honor their agreement when I pay them quarterly automatic I expect them to do their job I expect them to pick it up well because I filed four complaints about my bulk trash not being picked up guess what the driver did he decided not to pick up my trash can okay well in a house of eight people you can imagine trash can get full so I need it picked up twice a week driver picked up in my two Neighbors on each side of me but left my can full so now I got trash stored in my garage I called for Miss pickup well guess what they didn't pick it up go figure

They've gradually increased their prices on us over the past two years to obscene levels. I found another service provider and just spent an hour and twenty minutes on the phone with them trying to cancel services. I spoke to two different people and finally was told by the second person that she'd contact my rep who would be calling me to "address my concerns". She then ignored my response when I said my only concern was to get their dumpster off my property. It's painfully obvious they intentionally give you the run-around when you try to cancel. And that's after they've screwed the customer by massively overcharging. Clearly this is a shady company. I found a local independent business that will charge basically half what Liberty charged me. I strongly advise you to stay away

BAD BAD Company. You will be required to sign a contract for service. The contract states Republic can INCREASE MONTHLY RATES AT ANY TIME WITH NO NOTICE, AND they DO increase rates 25% every 6 months, so your monthly bill will increase by 40-50% EACH YEAR. If you complain, they will reduce the rate but ONLY IF YOU SIGN ANOTHER # YEAR CONTRACT. So you can never finish your contract unless you pay the 40-50% increases every year. When you try to cancel your contract early, they will force you to pay out the full 3 year contract OR they will report you to the credit bureau. This company makes Bonnie and Clyde look good. Every homeowner in our community has gotten rid of them and gone to a competitor.
