We previously spent a lot of time on the phone with Republic because their trucks were only picking up one of our trash cans when we were paying for 2. After many months of dealing with that, things were OK for a while until we started getting calls that there recycling would not be picked up due to unforeseen circumstances, or would be picked up at another time/date. Now, we need to cancel our service because we are moving and they are charging us to close the service!

Worst customer service I've seen. I signed up for yard waste at the beginning of last summer by phone. I sat on hold over an hour to sign up, they took my payment by phone, then I set my yard waste out. Didn't get picked up, I called-- they said I hadn't paid, so I paid again. Still didn't take. Finally I get a bill in the mail for an extra $6.71. They said what I paid by phone was an "estimate" and the actual price was higher, so I had to pay extra. I paid it. Experienced frequent missed pickups. Gave up, didn't want to renew. I didn't know it auto-renews until I got a bill this year. I called, again sat on hold for over an hour, they told me they would cancel and zero out the bill. Now I'm on my fourth phone call to try to get this bill zeroed out with no luck as I endure daily voicemails telling me I have a past due balance.

I started using Republic Services after Rumpke began to raise my rates. Then my recycling pick up became erratic. I then called them to address the issue and it only got worse. I gave up, called Rumpke back and got an incredible rate. I was told to leave the bins at the curb and someone would be out in a 10 day window to collect them. Well, that was 12 days ago. I just called them. It will cost me $90 to get the can collected. And, I would need to hold onto them for another 10 days. I am going to take the cans, chop them up and recycle them with Rumpke. To anyone reading this - I would start my own trash and recycling company before I used Republic.

I recive a dumpster from them not the right one. Was told they don't have it . Told them to come get it they refused they are rude. Don't get service from them same day I canceled is the same day it came. They refuse to pick it up.

This trash service has gotten ridiculous. Prices keep going up, but the service and customer support keep getting worse. Trash pickup is constantly missed and I have to wait until the following scheduled pickup even though I contacted them about an issue and was told it would be taken care of, but nothing ever changed. Worse part was being told one thing and then seeing no follow-through. It felt like my complaints were completely ignored. If you're going to keep raising rates, at least provide decent service and stand behind what you tell your customers. At this point, I'm paying more and getting less. I definitely wouldn't recommend them based on my experience.

8 weeks by mail to get a stupid $30 refund after closing the account. Pathetic

We have had repeated negative experiences with this company. Most recently, when I needed to change my dumpster size, I specifically requested no new 3 year agreement. Despite being promised multiple times that a new contract would not be necessary, someone in my office signed the updated contract without reviewing it thoroughly and I later discovered it included a new 3-year agreement, without my knowledge or consent. Extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency and the failure to honor verbal commitments. Our contract was signed under fraudulent misrepresentation and I plan on reporting this company to the relevant government agencies. Absolutely disgusting. Never again.

Absolutely the worst customer service phone line I have ever experienced. 30-40 minute waits and when you finally get thru you get someone named KIM who should win the award for the worst customer service ever provided.
