I have bought many things, both online and from brick and mortar stores. The products have always been of good quality and trustworthy, even when in some tough conditions. Much of the gear I've bought here has been used for years and years with no issue. On the occasions that I've had to return items, it has been no hassle on whole. The one thing I do take some issue with is that REI takes a political stance against some of the outdoor activities I enjoy, such as offroad motorcycling and the like. This I wish they did not do and I remain a member, so I can vote in their elections and try and impact this stance. Overall, a good experience time and again.

Found this site and had interest in the hiking product selections. Some items are overpriced but they have good deals if you take a look around clearance and items under $25. I placed my order over the weekend and it arrived in two days. Very impressed and enjoyed the look on my bf face when he saw what I picked out for him. Got a beanie, nice tank top, & high grade waterproof hiking pants for about $75. Love the colors material is great if I could splurge this is a great outdoor type company thank you for your business.

REI is great! The website is also great! 5 stars no question. I have bought numerous things from the website and in-person store and both are excellent!

Sending the products to Spain multiplied the cost by three, but the worst thing is that they wanted me to pay the same amount in customs. I do not recommend to buy outside the USA.

We are going to HI on a hiking trip in a few weeks! Wanted to get some high quality hiking gear for our mission to paradise. An old friend suggested REI. Everything we needed was in stock, plus a few extras to make the trip a little more comfortable. Hiking shoes, water purifier, light weight tents, hammocks and sleeping gear. Check. REI gets 4 stars for having all the high quality hiking gear we needed. Would be 5 stars if we didn't break the budget buying so much cool stuff.

I went to the REI in Issaquah to return a bike that didn't work for me. They were great about returning the bike with no hassle. They went above and beyond to help me find a replacement. Wes was so informative and helpful getting me into the Perfect bike. Everyone in the department were great!! The best experience!! 10 stars.

I miss the old REI. Yes the staff is always nice but its about product and customer satisfaction. The old way was better, now its just another over priced outdoor store/ souvenir shop.

I purchased a Kayak through a registry for my daughter's and soon to be son in laws wedding. This was the biggest Hassel ever. The resistry and Rei apparently didn't work together and Rei ended up asking me to jump through hoops. Mind you, this was a gift. My daughter went to pick up and they wouldn't release it to her without me signing a waiver and writing permission for her to pick up. This was a gift, paid for in advance. The processes took them asking me to email and sign waiver and for me to email waiver back to them, which I did immediately. When she went to pick the kayak up, they almost didn't let her because she didn't have a printed copy of waiver....which they had, because I sent it to them. Really not happy. What was supposed to be a joyful gift turned into a serious hassel. This company needs to get customers service skills in order and to communicate through the registry that a waiver would need to be signed if the person purchasing item wasn't picking it up. So ridiculous. Again, the customer service skills for this company are questionable at best.
