Regenexx pioneered interventional orthopedics, using the body’s own cells and natural healing abilities to treat orthopedic conditions and injuries non-surgically. Our treatment protocols are grounded in ongoing research and continuously refined through our dedicated R&D team, specialized laboratory, and patient-reported outcomes tracking data.Regenexx has developed the most advanced processing and treatment techniques used today and has published a significant share of the worldwide research on the use of bone marrow concentrate for orthopedic conditions.Only a select group of highly-skilled musculoskeletal doctors are licensed to perform regenerative orthopedic procedures using Regenexx treatment protocols and injectates. The doctors in our licensed physician network are independent medical providers and are not employees or agents of Regenexx. They have chosen to license Regenexx technology and treatment protocols for use in their regenerative orthopedic practice.Regenexx is dedicated to advancing orthobiologic treatments, research, and technology to support patients seeking alternatives to surgery or pain medications.Regenexx maintains an active patient registry that tracks patients’ progress and side effects, post-procedure using Regenexx injectates. Our outcomes database contains records on tens of thousands of procedures performed by physicians in the licensed Regenexx network. Those outcomes are transparently published and updated monthly at https://regenexx.com/results/Like all medical procedures, regenerative procedures using Regenexx injectates have a success and failure rate. It has been 18 months since Dr. Pitts used stem cell for my hip and knee. It has improved both a great deal. I got back from vacation recently where I walked about 10 miles each day. I can walk 18 holes and ski for about 5 hours a day. Running is not in my future and my big question is will this last or is a knee replacement in my future. The team working with Dr. Pitts and he himself were all outstanding. I am planning to go back in for a follow up in the near future.

The procedure was painless and right away you could feel the difference. Dr Schultz was amazing!

The experience was good, BUT the results one year later are NOT. Maybe I was just too old (69) for the stem cells to be effective. It was a mistake for me. In retrospect I should have saved the several thousand dollars in cash. I would not do it again. However, I do think their is a bright future in stem cells.

Have had both knees done twice. Has helped immensely and can hike and ride bikes for long distances. Pain has basically disappeared. Was a long distance runner for over 40 years. Days of running are pretty much over but I had considerable pain and was looking at surgery. Avoided surgery and can do almost anything. I am 64 yo and had my first stem cell injections 4yrs ago at the Centeno-Schultz clinic in Colorado. They have done all of my Regenexx treatments. I highly recommend looking into stem cell before I would do surgery, looking at surgery as a last resort. Also, it is very important who does the treatment!

Best thing I've done. No surgery and hundred percent repaired. Only half the down time. I would recommend everyone to try this first you can always do surgery later.

5 years ago I was diagnosed with cartilage degeneration in my left hip partly due to the 40+ years of active tennis playing (started playing when I was 5) and hereditary arthritis. As no other procedures existed in which to repair the cartilage, my orthopedic surgeon could only offer limited cortisone shots leading inevitably to hip replacement surgery. If you've never researched what is involved in hip replacement surgery I suggest you do so as this is an extreme operation for someone in my condition. Not to mention, but I will, that you'll need to have it done again in 15 years. Offered no other solutions, I didn't give up. I researched other medical alternatives and found that much progress was being made in stem cell regeneration but initially in medical facilities in the mid-West and East Coast. I stayed optimistic and was rewarded by finding Healthlink Medical Center in San Rafael. I attended a seminar being offered and hosted by Dr. Paul Handleman to further my education and to ask pointed questions specific to my condition. I found Dr. Handleman to be VERY knowledged and was extremely appreciative to the time he spent with me discussing how the stem cell procedure could prove to be advantageous. Within a year I made the decision to move forward with the procedure, worked with Dr. Handleman's excellent and caring staff (Dustin, Jessica, Rachael and Natalie) to arrange the most convenient time that allowed me the necessary recovery period required and never looked back. Now, over a week after having the procedure I am ecstatic to write that I no longer live with a dull throbbing pain shooting down my left leg. I had the procedure done on a Wednesday and was able to begin walking on my left leg that Saturday. Although I kept a positive attitude, I didn't expect immediate results. After walking around my house I felt I must be dreaming as I no longer had the dull throbbing pain that I had been living with for the past 4 years. I started to cry. It's been over a week now and I'm still living a dream!! I walk with no pain. I sleep on my left side with no pain. I go up and down stars with no pain. My mental attitude has changed because I feel I've been given back my quality of life. No cortisone shot gave me back the use of my leg like stem cell regeneration has done. I know it's early and time will tell but honestly I only see me getting better. To anyone reading this who is wondering if stem cell regeneration is the way to go - I say emphatically - YES!! At minimum, do your homework but don't believe your only recourse is medical replacement surgery. There is hope and I found it through Healthlink Medical Center, Dr. Handleman and, to me, his award winning team!! Stay positive!!
