I live in Canada (Free Health Care)...LOL I was told that I had no other option than to remove torn Meniscus completely, I was told I would probably never be able to return to a sport I love, So glad I meet Dr. Fenton @ Regenexx I did the procedure in Vermont. I am so happy to report I am completely healed! I workout hard 4 times a week at Cross fit, no limitations! Incredible. America beware of Free Health Care!

I was very pleased with my whole experience and would do it again

I have little to no improvement in my left - most critical - knee. I still cannot jog, it "clicks" uncomfortably with movement. I believe my expectations of returning to my daily routine of jogging were extreme and for the cost of the procedure and unacceptable pain (as an Anesthesiologist, I can state that better pain management would be easy and advised). I cannot recommend this procedure.

I personally would have done it in Melbourne where they spin the cells longer to accumulate more but I did not have money for that. Nor did I have money to get both hips done as I needed but I thought the procedure went well. Although it took me longer than it should for me to walk without crutches after the procedure. I ended up getting into water aerobics in order to walk without an assistive device and I was 30 yrs old. I'm now 34. PRAYER WORKS!!. I don't have stiffness in the morning. I don't hear popping of my hip or have pain as much unless I walk for a long period of time for example:"around the entire Disneyland theme park" or just touring in New York City. I drink essiac tea which is good for healing one's body including joints as the head of my femur was collapsed before undergoing the procedure and as my orthopedic doctor has said looks worse now but since I'm not having any acute discomfort he has released me to go back to doing my regular job which entails walking up and down an emergency room helping others as a RN. I would it again as I need my other hip done I'd prefer to go to Melbourne if i was blessed with the opportunity to afford the entire trip as well as get both hips done. I have been diagnosed with "avascular neceosis of both hips" which is due to having chemotherapy as a result of my "Hodgkin lymphoma" when I as 19. I have to truly say "it is all by the Grace of God" that I'm able to walk without discomfort now.

Left hip was bone on bone, need cane to walk and pain pills daily to tolerate. Had Stem cell and platelet, took a week from start to finish, however each doctor visit during this week only took 30 to 40 minutes. Approximately a week after the procedure, the pain was reduced to zero, within a couple months I did not require the cane and began exercising. 9 months ago I had the procedure, still no problems, still no pain, still exercising. I would highly recommend anyone with pain or discomfort to not wait, I tossed my pain medication in the trash and gained control of my life again. Thank you Regenexx.

Seemed to work on both knees. That being said, and being a scientist, I don't really have any way to know if the cause of my knees getting better is because of the stem cell treatment or the fact that the prescribed recovery for the treatment is to wear an off-loader brace and go easy on your knee for 8 weeks. It has been two years with significant improvement. I am 50 and playing soccer again. If my knee were to begin hurting again, I would try the treatment again. What I would really like to see is the large scale, double blinded study on the procedure, done by an unbiased group.
