The procedure on my knee saved me from knee replacement surgery. It has been 20 months, and my knee feels great - I'm able to hike in the mountains and bicycle 100+ miles a week with no pain. Before the procedure, I could barely walk due to cartilage, bone, and ligament damage.

Regenexx Physician Dr. Mayo Friedlis
This review applies specifically to the administering physician, Dr. Mayo Friedlis. I received fluoroscopy guided PRP injections administered both traditionally and epidurally. I had three appointments consisting of two days each, for a total of six days of procedures. Each "day" consisted of approximately one hour's worth of injections. My improvement has been very noticeable, I i recommend the procedures to anyone with chronic back pain resulting from sprained ligaments, fractured vertebrae, spondylolisthesis, stenosis, bulging discs, etc.

Right ankle stem cell and PRP therapy
Dr. Tambar was very skilled, and candid about the stem cell procedure for my right ankle. The procedure was straightforward and not particularly discomforting. I would say that the procedure gave me immediate improvement in mobility and freedom from pain. This effect has gradually worn off, and now 18 months later I "might" be better physically than I was before the procedure, or than I would have been if I had had no stem cell therapy, but it is really too close to call. I'm quite sure that the stem cell injections have not led to replacement or repair of my ankle cartilage.

I believe the procedure works for …
I believe the procedure works for meniscus and some other types of joint repair. It helps little with osteoarthritis and unfortunately this is a progressive degenerative disorder. I believe the doctor knew I had osteoarthritis manifesting in my knees. The only disclosure he gave me was that this procedure works for some people and not for others. I believe Dr. Cohen mislead me because he withheld a full disclosure regarding the osteoarthritis. The office did a full panel of x rays on my knees; osteoarthritis is rather obvious.

I have had stem cell treatments on both knees and I am currently cycling 90-100 miles per week without pain!
