Recharge.city promised prime NYC spots and "guaranteed returns" for my portable chargers. I paid upfront - zero stations installed, zero communication since. Their app shows fake locations, support ghosts you, and my money’s gone. A total scam. Avoid and report them to the FTC and your bank ASAP.

Hello. Our company officially operates a network of more than 1,000 stations in NYC. We operate strictly within the framework of the law. Accusations of fraud without supporting facts constitute defamation. Please provide your name and phone number so we can investigate the matter. Otherwise, this review will be reported to the Trustpilot moderation team for removal due to the spread of false information

They are basically tele scammers. Surprise to see the number of positive reviews here. I bet no one have made any money with these charging machines. Pity that this company is allowed to operate in our country.

I want to warn everyone about Recharge.city. Last year, they cold-called me out of nowhere and pressured me into investing as a franchisee for their phone-charging stations. They promised "passive income" and a full return on my investment in just a few months. To convince me, they showed me an app with thousands of stations across the U.S., especially in New York, and said they’d secure prime Manhattan locations for me. I paid them $16,500 for equipment and location services, provided my ID, and signed contracts. Over a year later, I haven’t received a single penny. When I did my own research, I discovered the app’s map was completely fake – none of those stations actually exist. They lied to get my money. I’m now fighting to get my money back through a chargeback, but this company is dishonest. They ignored all my calls and emails once they had my cash. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Their business model is a sham, their app is fake, and they’ll disappear with your money. If they call you, hang up. Report them to the FTC and your bank immediately if you’ve been targeted. Update: I’ve reported them to the FTC, my state attorney general, and the BBB. Stay far away!

This company ripped me out of $7000 promising a steady income and ROI in a few months. I tried to contact them afterwards and even visited the address which is mentioned on their website, but it turned out that no such company exists there. Upon doing my own research, the company turned out to be a fassad which only exists on papers.

Hello, Maxim! We are flagging this review under Defamation / Harmful or Illegal Content on grounds that have not been previously assessed. This is not a repeat of prior defamation flags. We are presenting a distinct and new violation: 1. FALSE ACCUSATION OF PLATFORM MANIPULATION (ASTROTURFING): The reviewer states: "it is rather hilarious for me to see the fake positive reviews which this company has left." This is not an opinion — it is a specific, verifiable factual claim that our company has published fake reviews on Trustpilot. This directly accuses us of violating FTC Consumer Reviews Rules (16 CFR Part 465, effective October 2024), which prohibit businesses from creating fake reviews. Accusing a registered US business of an active federal regulatory violation without any evidence is defamation per se under US law, and causes direct, measurable financial harm. 2. REVIEW RECYCLING IN VIOLATION OF TRUSTPILOT'S OWN POLICIES: As confirmed by your Content Integrity Team (Ticket #02697822, March 31, 2025), a previous review by this same user — Maxim Changezi — was permanently removed for containing defamatory content. On the exact same day, the user republished a new version of the same review, retaining the same unverified financial claim ("scammed me of $7,000") while slightly rewording the text to bypass automated filters. Per Trustpilot's Action We Take Policy (March 2026), reviews "written with the intention of manipulating a business's TrustScore rather than sharing a genuine experience" are prohibited. Republishing a previously banned defamatory review constitutes exactly this. We request that a human compliance specialist — not the automated defamation tool — reviews both points above, cross-references Ticket #02697822, and permanently removes this content.

I'm wonder who is writing these positive review for Recharge.city when they don't exist at all. My experience was a complete scam. They convinced me to invest $16,000 in their "franchise business," showing me a fake app with hundreds of charging stations across the U.S. Once they got my money, they disappeared. The app was fake, the business was fake, and they’re a foreign-based scam operation. These glowing reviews are either fake or written by their own employees. Do not trust Recharge.city – they’re fraudsters. Save yourself the trouble and avoid them at all costs.

Hello. Our company legally operates a verified physical infrastructure of active public utility charging stations across major locations. Following an official compliance audit of our financial and contract records, we have found absolutely zero transactions, wire transfers, or B2B franchise agreements associated with the name 'John Roger' or your specified country location (DE). Accusations of criminal activity without any factual basis constitute defamation. This matter has been officially forwarded to the Trustpilot Legal and Compliance Team for full review and removal due to coordinated fraudulent misrepresentation.
