I submitted surgery photos of my outcome with questions for doctors on the website, but received n email saying my question wouldn’t be submitted, saying I could find a doctor on their site for a second opinion. Useless garbage website is how I found my doctor to begin with. Don’t recommend if you’re looking for help with answers from other doctors.

Physicians beware! The company only wants to charge you a fee, I experienced no results for three months. Tried to cancel service charged me for three additional months with still no referrals. It is a scam!

Don’t trust this site! They don’t allow many negative reviews and censor all reviews. They are very biased in favor of the procedure and the physicians. There are WAY more complications with these procedures than reported on this site!

I left a negative 1 star review for Dr. Nima Shemirani, a doctor with a five star rating. RealSelf moved my review to the very last review. Realself, is how I found Dr. nima and why I chose Dr. Nima. I regret this decision. I don’t feel I received the level of care I paid for or the level of care advertised to me. I have reason to believe RealSelf is helping Dr. Nima manipulate his image by removing negative reviews or moving them behind all positive reviews. It’s not fair.

Colossal waste of money! Charged 3 x more than my colleague! ROI was zero! communications was lacking! You could never get hold of them.....always had to leave messages! Save your money and spend it on Google Ads, at least there you will see some ROI!

I wrote a thoughtful and thorough one star review of my plastic surgeon who ruined my face. My review was approved by Real Self and remained for approx 2 weeks. RS then removed my review and suspended my membership with no notice. I emailed to inquire as to why, they stated I had multiple accounts which is completely and utterly false. I only ever had ONE account with RS and only wrote ONE review. I begged them for weeks to research, asked for the other username(s) they claimed I had and to help me correct the mistake. Instead of working with me to fix this issue they completely ghosted me for weeks and when they finally responded they simply said I had multiple accounts and my review and membership would not be reinstated. I’ve since read RS uses this tactic to remove negative reviews of doctors. I found the doctor on RS who damaged my face and then I was silenced by RS when I tried to help others be informed. Please be aware as I wish I had been to avoid the nightmare I am going through with the awful results of my surgery. It’s a shame bc they do have helpful information but I can no longer trust what’s real and what’s been removed so I cannot recommend trusting this site

I love the concept of this website, but the execution is terrible. This is the clunkiest design of a website ever. It's very hard to just see the overall thumbs up or down review, the ads are totally oddly placed, there is no over arching easy to understand where you are concept of this site. I've been a member for years and have been surprised they haven't done a full overhaul on this site. This site is one of the most poorly tuned and improperly laid out websites ever. Do a study, find the defecits and fix them. You'll get far more advertising dollars if you fix this mess.

I have to add to my review as a friend who I met as she was also damaged badly to the point she sued the surgeon has had her review on Realself reviewed. Comments being they don't promote negativity. What they do though is promote surgeons who are leaving a trail of destroyed patients behind them and allowing fake and false positive reviews. DO NOT TRUST THIS INFORMATON ON THEIR SITE AS THE REAL TRUTH IS NOT ALLOWED. I originally thought it was a good and genuine site but I don’t think it’s as honest and true account of all surgeons as you think. I really wanted to make women be aware of how I put my trust in a surgeon based on the reviews on Realself only to be left with a face which is needing a lot of repair and a lot of new friends who also were made a mess of by the same surgeon. Taking into account Realself must make their income from surgeons subscription and referral I can see it is in their best interest to remove bad t views about a surgeon as mine was. I had a bad experience with my surgeon in Istanbul and after leaving an honest review about how my face was botched a lot of other women also got in touch to say they had botched surgery with the surgeon too. Myself and another woman have been removed from the site and bad reviews fall to the bottom of the review pile. Therefore when you start to read about a surgeon you start with the good reviews unless you filter for lowest rating first. This does make me think you are not always getting a true reflection on the surgeons. Fake reviews are rife too and I can see this from the surgeon who botched me. He has staff add reviews and when I challenged this my comments were removed. I met and saw these people. A friend I made has had disgusting personal comments sent to her from a member of the site yet this is not monitored only what can be seen by the public. My opinion is Realself can be a source of information but it’s a business making money on referrals and there is no control over fake reviews clouding people’s judgement and I am proof of this. If you use language like botched or butchered you’ll have your access revoked.
