RBFCUReviews of rbfcu.org

I used to love this credit union. Now they make trying to purchase motorcycles, boats ,etc. not only miserable but near impossible through private party . I'm looking at making the move here shortly.

Disappointing customer service. Banker was arrogant, passive aggressive and inefficient. I made a morning appointment and Diana Garza at the Ben White location was 30 minutes late. I explained that I had 30 minutes before I needed to return to work and she seemed to delight in bringing up unrelated issues, trying to slow down the process, and being disrespectful. I have always loved RBFCU. Please don't let Diana Garza drive a wedge between us.

Lots of programs like Mortgage, Health, Car Insurance. Investment...all crap Third Party and not in House. Oh sure they may have a portion of one program in-house but not the Majority.Since it is not ran by RBFCU it is a $#!+ show! The Car Insurance program was a lie, employees don't know whats going on, or the Mortgage people are trying to steal your deal or set you up with their on family mortgage or other business. They start a New Phone system on a Friday when its the busiest and it chaotic night mare for the Loan department which was a cluster @#$&. Its just an all around Clown Circus act put on by the CEO!

As a credit union, RBFCU has exceeded my expectations. But...This problem has existed for over a year. RBFCU sold the management of my 401k to Nationwide years ago. RBFCU attached the wrong information to my account when that transfer happened and now I can't get to my retirement account. Both organizations will not take responsibility or offer help. I could never suggest trusting RBFCU with investments. Follow up: as expected, RBFCU has quickly reached out to try to help. The problem was the person who originally created the paperwork.

I've been with RBFCU for about a decade now, and for the most part it has been fine. However, my interactions with them today has made me want to bank elsewhere. I contacted support over an issue, and before we could discuss it, they wanted my entire card number to verify my identity and said there was no other way to do so. This is ridiculous because I know I have a security question, and my last four of my ss or card should have been enough. I had some other problems today, and it basically went as there is nothing they can do and I will be charged a fee. They have been mostly reliable up until I needed them most.

I have used them for fourteen years and USED to love them, but there have been far too many times I’ve had after hour issues and you absolutely cannot speak to anyone outside of normal hours. HORRIBLE service in that regard and their F’ing worthless automated answer system makes you listen to long winded speeches only to lead to dead ends where it doesn’t recite numbers you type in and/ or the system hangs up on you. My advice, find a bank that gives a damn about their customers

I have been a member for over 25 years. I collect my change every day in a large container. When I would get it full, I would take it in and pour it in their counting machine and it would deposit the money in my account. This time they said they no longer own the machine and I would have to pay 5% to use it. I took the coins home, stopped at an office supply store and purchase coin rollers, and spent time separating and rolling the coins. When I returned to Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union, I was rudely told that they do not accept rolled coins. The only way I could deposit my $200.00+ coins was to open the rollers and pay their co-conspiriter 5%. Fortunately, a sweet lady at HEB in Lavernia accepted my rolled coins and gave me paper money. May the Lord bless her and her house.

My wife and I made an appointment on August 18th for the 26th. This was to come down in person to talk about purchasing some land and move our car insurance over to RBFCU. What a joke! I will not blame the branch staff, but this should have been explained before we made the drive. We walk in and have to explain again for the reason of the appointment. Again, not going to blame the branch staff. We did not see anyone; we are placed in a room while they called a department. Again, we had to explain for the 3rd time why we are here. We could have spoken to this department in the comfort of our home. I find this to be unethical. I won't blame the person we spoke to on the phone. They are only doing their job. My time was wasted, no way I was going to give them my business after this. My wife and I looked at each other and just thanked the person who was on the phone along with the branch staff. I made sure to take belongings out of my safety deposit box. They want to do business over a phone or the net, then say so. I found another party to help us buy the land. RBFCU has lost my trust and respect. I could have closed the deal a week ago. They are good for checking, savings, and online banking. Hence the 2 stars. Another cheap apology from them. We never even had a video conference. Just a phone on speaker. The person did not even have our details. You cannot bring back the time we wasted. RBFCU has lost its way over the years. No moral compass.
