Extremely difficult to get loan from these people my advice avoid the hard inquiry on your credit and go somewhere else

On 4/17/2026, $2980.00 was stolen from my RBFCU account. Even though RBFCU says they provide NCUA insurance, they have denied reimbursement. They have said the facts show I clicked “ALLOW” to approve the transaction on a text they sent me. This is NOT TRUE. I never even saw the texts as I was in deep conversation with “their fraud dept representative”. They want me to believe someone could have called me from their number but they won’t believe that the same someone could have hacked and taken over my phone! My facts are that I received a text from RBFCU followed by a call from their phone # 210-945-3300 (the same # they alway and continuously call me from). Their rep proceeded to guide me to make transactions geared toward stopping and preventing the continued fraud being attempted on my account. When I immediately tried to call RBFCU fraud dept to verify I was talking to them, my hold time was 58 min/58 sec. They finally called me back 1 1/2 hours later from the same # 210-945-3300 they have always and continue to call me from. These facts lead me to believe it was RBFCU who stole my money! This bank in which I’ve been a member for 14 years has accused me of being complicit in a crime. I have all my money with these people. I have had car loans, home equity loans, cds, money market accounts, checking and saving accounts. I have excellent credit including a well above average credit score. But they are insinuations that I am a thief. They used to be an excellent company but no more. Please stay far away if you want your money to be safe!

Bought a car. Submitted all documents. Later, they sign me up for insurance for a company I never heard of. Don't work with this bank!

I have been a customer of RBFCU credit cards for more than three years. I have always paid on time, fulfilled all my obligations, and until now had never filed a claim. This was my very first dispute. I was double charged at Cinemark for the exact same amount, on the same day and at the same time. When I filed a claim with RBFCU Credit Card Services, they told me the dispute would not be approved and refused to refund my money. The amount was small, but the issue is the lack of support for loyal customers. What kind of trust can you have in a bank that does not stand behind you in the first claim you make after years of responsible use and punctual payments? I do not recommend it. I would rather bank with institutions that truly support their customers when situations like this happen, especially when someone is clearly charged twice by mistake.

I was told to contact member services because was told RBFCU cared about a over 50 year member charged a $12 fee so they would rather lose a member then give a courtesy fee. WONDER IF THEIR BOARD OF DIRECTORS WOULD AGREE??? THEN WASTED MY TIME TELLING ME TO CONTACT THEM ONLY TO BE TOLD SAME THING!

I am compelled to express my serious dissatisfaction with the level of service provided by the Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union branch in Floresville. I deposited a check and was informed there would be a 7-day hold; however, I was also told that funds are typically made available within approximately 2 business days. I am now on day 6, and the funds remain unavailable with absolutely no communication, explanation, or update. In an effort to get answers, I contacted customer service and was told I would receive a callback within 2 business days. This is entirely unacceptable given the delay already experienced. At this point, I have been left without access to my funds and without any meaningful response as to why. The lack of transparency, urgency, and accountability demonstrated by this branch is deeply concerning. Customers should not have to chase down basic information regarding their own money. The absence of follow-through and communication reflects a significant failure in customer service standards. If you are looking for a reputable and responsive financial institution, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Based on my experience, you would be better off going in the opposite direction.

RBFCU online app is pretty awful. We have loans and many accounts through RBFCU. I just called Customer Service was brushed off by them regarding a loan that wasn’t paid but said it was scheduled. Their ATMs never work. And their customer service is pretty awful. she just basically cut me off it to transfer me to loans instead of trying to help me answer my questions. Find a different credit union.

HORRIBLE.. you cannot even imagine lesser customer service. I had several loans with these people and they were handled incompetently, from the very start. They have competitive rates, and that's what made me continue with the process. But they keep asking for the same information, repeatedly (as others have said), and make it very difficult to login each time to provide it. You cannot contact the loan department directly through email - which would be convenient and personable - but instead have to login each time to provide (yet another) snippet of (irrelevant) information. In 48 months of a vehicle loan, I was only late with a payment (postal service) one time, But I received - no joke - 11 (ELEVEN) letters in the mail that my payment was late. Not one email or text message. Unbelievable.
