Hey everyone come on some one has to care about their bad reputation on customer service, not surprised to see everyone has given a horrible customer service rating. My hubby was left waiting on the phone for o e 45 minutes and no one help him. This does not deserve one star.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I recently had account takeover fraud and lost a very large sum of money. My claim was denied with no real reason other than it’s my fault. I an out of state and had to deal with all of this during my so called vacation. To top it all off I go into a branch and they put me in an office alone to deal with this. This is unacceptable behavior. Not only did I loose money that was given to me when my father passed away I lost complete trust in an institution I have been with since I was a child. Your customer service is honestly horrible and worthless. Then being told to come into a branch and not realize what state I am is insane. I am currently requesting copies of all the stuff regarding the so called investigation that happened. And actually I was informed they will not provide info unless it’s by legal person.

They used to be good 20 years ago. But now they're just as bad, if not worse than some of the banks. They refused to reimburse my account when it was hacked by fraud and they also don't process transactions in the order received. For example: let's say you have over draft protection on and $200 in your account. You make a water bill payment of $100 on Friday, a credit card payment of $50 on Saturday, and then a electric bill payment of $205 on Sunday. Most other banks/ credit unions would take the payments out in order, but not RBFCU. They'll take them out on Monday from biggest to smallest, even tho the smallest payments were made first. So instead of only having 1 overdraft fee from the last payment on Monday when they finally process the payments, you'll end up with 3 overdraft payments instead. Or in my case 7 instead of 1! And when you call them to let them know that their system isn't following THEIR rules that say first in, first out, they'll try saying that the "merchants" sent them in that order. Which is complete bs because then they'll list all the "received" time stamps exactly 1 minute apart for each one. That's NOT the multiple different companies requesting payments at the same time. That's RBFCU not processing receiving the payment requests until that time and not even in the correct order that the other companies sent payment requests for. RBFCU has turned into a bunch of crooks. Don't bother doing business with them, they'll just steal your money.

I would put a 0 if I could. I’ve been with RBFCU for 13 years and several loans paid back all in good standing. Last weekend I got a call from RBFCU stating someone had charged my debt card in Dallas, I verified it was not me then she asked me to verify some other 3 transactions that were mine so she was in my account already’ she proceeded to tell me that over $25,000 had been taken from my account but she was going to help me get it back so she sent me messages to approve that said to my name. I tried to get into my accounts and was locked out, so I started getting suspicious but this came from RBFCU and she knew my transactions so I assumed she was lagit! When I started asking questions and was calling the 24/7 fraud line she then hung up. I never got anyone to answer as their message said they were closed. I called at least 40 times over the weekend. I finally got a hold of them Monday morning after I finally got back into my account after she had taken close to $30,000. 10,000 was from my daughter’s account. They have since denied my claim. I filed a police report and FBI report. They should be able to protect their system but obviously can’t! It was reported to SAPD and on all 3 news stations I was told by them as there were so many scams doing the same thing that weekend. I have hired an attorney and think they should protect their members but they don’t! How is your hard earned money safe? I believe there needs to be a Class Action Lawsuit. Shame on this bank for not protecting us! I will be moving banks soon! Be aware of calls from them obviously people can easily get into their system!

I closed my account with RBFCU on 5/21/2026. Went to my account and noticed it was a negative balance. So I called the bank RBFCU! They put me on hold as they did on 5/21/26. She or he tells me that my account can not be closed due to a negative account that occurred by the bank for overdraft fees. I told them to close my acct asap. They tell me we’re monitoring this and to come into the bank. I am very disappointed with this company. Very unprofessional! I do have a savings account with them and I will be closing that as well. I rather not do business with them. As of today it’s -28 dollars. They will probably close it when they get enough money out of me. Of overdraft fees! Do better RBFCU!

Absolutely garbage. I recently opened an account and transferred a small amount for testing purposes from a bank account I was going to close. Everything went well so I transferred the remaining balance of my account. Boom! Fraud department locks my account. 50 minutes on hold to talk to Carla in the fraud department. Verifies who I am and everything’s good but she flat out refused to unlock my account even though I was verified and answer all security questions etc. first they said someone was trying to transfer a large amount from my account……then I proved that incorrect by letting them know I only originally transferred a few dollars. So after that they went with well we see logins from multiple IP addresses. I said sure. Still not fraud. Unlock my account. She could barely speak enough English to tell me no. Talk to a supervisor right? Wrong. On hold 20 more minutes then I was told no supervisors available. Big surprise right. She said I have to go into a branch which of course is three hours away in another city. Just be aware this company is complete trash before you even put a dime in. I worked with my bank that I was going to cancel to reverse the large transfer. They can keep the change I left in the account. Never do business where you can’t walk in the front door.

Worst bank ever. My card was skimmed, then within 30 days. My account had been fraudulent 4 times they did nothing to prevented. But send me extra debit cards that did not arrive and then they canceled those. It took 4 tries to get a debit card. There wasn't getting frauded when I got my stimulus. I was overdrawn in my account and two days passed the thirty day overdrawn limit and they sent my stimulus back to washington. I had a fraud claim. I had several fraud claims. Because I shop online and I was getting ripped off on apparel that I was buying and they initially refused to credit. My account until I showed them pictures and proof that I was being ripped off. I actually had to report them to the consumer financial products board.. When I say this is the worst bank, you could possibly employ in texas.I mean, it is absolutely hands down the worst bank.You could possibly get in texas.

I have been banking with RBFCU for years. Unfortunately, I’m considering changing banks due to their lack of support for their customers. Recently, I had funds stolen from my account. The fraud department did notify me, however, once the information was received and from my understanding resolved, I received a letter in the mail that they were going to reverse the fraudulent charges. I checked my account this morning, and indeed these fraudulent charges were reversed on my account and therefore I’m being held accountable for them. The charges were based in Las Vegas (I’m no where near LV) and with my old bank card, which the information was stolen. They did issue me a new card. You would think they had all the evidence to prove these charges were fraudulent and in fact they reached out to me that the charges were suspicious, and yet, they reverse them?! This is complete negligence and unethical on their part!! I’m definitely looking at other bank institutions to keep my funds to avoid this happening again.
