Love Ravelry have kept all of my things on there and will always!

Ravelry is absolutely the best knitting/crochet website. Comprehensive database of patterns and yarn information and personal projects all cross-linked, plus amazing and nuanced search capabilities. There are also forums for everything from "I'm stuck on this pattern" help requests to sharing love for particular fandoms or special interests. The site is very community-driven -- unlike many social media sites, it's not about money. The only advertising is unobtrusive and relevant, and people will even complain if ads DON'T show! Ravelry is openly pro-LGBT and anti-racist, which has drawn some ire from Trump fans who don't like the fact that they aren't allowed to spew hate in the name of "patriotism", but has drawn much more love from those of us who care about human rights.

Just the best social media and most comprehensive database out there for woolcrafters. Also a safe and supportive environment for everyone (apart from white supremacists - who have been leaving negative reviews after hauling all the free patterns etc off the site). As the imitators are learning quickly, it can't be bettered and it will never even be equalled - over a decade's worth of database and the support of the world's best designers and best knitters. Impossible to replace with a rubbishy off the peg forum/website made by somene's dad's friend.

I feel very unwelcome on this site because I love my country and I'm proud of my president. Why is that even relevant to a knitting and crocheting site?

Great site for knitters and crocheters. Huge database of patterns and easy to find just the one you want, and then to see what others have done with it. Helpful support form other members. Excellent support from admins.

I've been a member of Ravelry since 2009. This is a warm, welcoming and inclusive community of knitters, crocheters and spinners. You will find more than 200 categories of patterns, over 200,000 of them free! You can buy patterns, but you don't have to spend a penny to enjoy the site and it's forums.

Excellent site for organizing all of my patterns, what yarn and books I have (even needles!) and my projects. The forums have saved my bacon so many times mid project!! Absolutely love this site.
