Ravelry is great! It’s an innovative site with incredibly engaged and wonderful admins. They give back all the time.

Ravelry is full of wonderful patterns and great people. The owners of the site truly care about their users. They made a policy to protect their users from white supremacists and hate speech so keep that in mind when looking at the negative reviews. Most of them are from people who are mad they can't spread their message of hate on a privately owned site.

A truly amazing website for all things fiber-related. Casey and his team have done a fantastic job of making an all-inclusive site that's welcoming to all spinners, weaver, knitters, crocheters and other fiber lovers.

I've been a member of Ravelry for over 10 years, and I strongly recommend it for anyone interested in fiber arts. The website is easy to navigate, so user-friendly. You can inventory your yarn, needles, etc., and keep track on planned, ongoing, and completed projects. You can also find more patterns (many free!) to choose from than anywhere else on the internet. Please note that the people leaving poor reviews on this and other review sites are bitter about no longer being allowed to share hate speech, so much so that they are seeking out anywhere they can spread their hateful views. Please disregard their commentary. Ravelry is the best internet location for everyone interested in fiber arts; everyone, that is, except bigots and racists. If you are a decent human being, you will love Rav!

Ravelry is THE source for all things fiber. If you want patterns, expert help, or inspiration, Ravelry is your one-stop platform. NOTE: The terrible reviews are being posted by people who disagree with Ravelry's stance on hate. If you want to be hateful about any group, then you're going to have to go elsewhere because Ravelry is no home for hate and no haven for haters.

I visit Ravelry daily, and use it for yarn and pattern research. I also frequently use the forums for technical assistance and locating resources. I would absolutely be lost without it!

Ravelry is the kind of resource that once you get started using it, you wonder how you ever functioned without it. What size needles did I use the last time I knit this hat? It’s there in my personal project files. What would happen if I knit this yarn and made a baby blanket? It’s there - it will felt and shrink and you will be sad, look at the projects other people have made. I need to find a triangle shaped shawl patter that uses about 300 yards of worsted weight yarn and uses yarn-overs, but no cabling and also is available in both German and English. It’s there. The search features are incredible. The fact that a private company has decided that they don’t want to spend their time refereeing political fights with people who didn’t listen the first three times they were warned? Shrugs. Good on them. You don’t have a right to free speech on someone else’s website. You don’t have a right to free speech without consequences. Your right to free speech is more limited than you think, and American conservative politics are not as important as you think.
