I had it for 6 months. When it works it's fine. However, every once in a while it turns into a glitchy, time-sucking monster, that communicates to you via indecipherable light flashes. Customer support is a joke. I am contemplating dumping Rachio in the trash and buying an an old fashioned no-Wi-Fi RainBird. Call me a dinosaur if you wish.

I was initially excited about the sprinkler controller and features. But a few years later I am on my THIRD controller. They keep failing! This most recent failure was out of warranty and customer service only gave me a $25 coupon for a REFURBISHED one. If this one fails, I will be changing this to one star and spreading the word more.

Customer service and support is lacking. I have used their product for about a year, and while not the most intuitive, does work well - customer support, however - greatly lacking. They don't tell you when an update is available for software, and can't assist you if you have an older version of their software. Updating is not a problem, unless you have to reprogram all your data - again, not well thought through from the user perspective.
