The fees and rates are very high, but I guess when you are getting a lite doc loan you have to be prepared to pony up. Also, it took quite a bit of effort to get my auto payments set up because they lost my paperwork more than once. Then after just one month of successful auto payments, they sold my loan. The new servicer is a nightmare, already sending me threatening letters about being uninsured. Their records show that someone at Quontic told them the house is vacant. It's not. Next letter said my coverage expired (it didn't) and that I had the wrong lienholder on the policy (not my problem to solve since I'm not the one who sold or bought the loan and I wouldn't have known that information to begin with), and they were going to buy insurance on my property and then charge me for it. Selene Finance is the company. What a mess. Every time I submit a question or request for help it's three weeks for an answer. Thanks a lot, Quontic. I would say all in all, the ONLY positive in this experience was that I was able to get the loan I needed. I would definitely not recommend Quontic in general, though.

First I liked your rates so I opened up a CD, what a mistake
First I liked your rates so I opened up a CD, that went fine. Now I had an on-line account established and I wanted to open up another CD and there in my online account was a place asking me if I wanted to open a CD, I clicked on it. Several times and it did nothing. Waited two days until I knew you withdrew the money from my bank account, so I knew I had and established account. Called up and someone was going to walk me through setting up a second CD. Not sure why it just couldn't be done over the phone. What she did was brought right back to starting all over again outside of my acccount. Step by step she told me what she wanted me do, I did it. The final results, some place she forgot that there must have been a drop down menu, because I ended up with a 5 yr. CD, when I wanted a 3 Yr. Why I couldn't just use the ones in my account that says I haven't finished my application I didn't understand. They are still popping up in the account, but I could't use those. When I told her the maturity date was too long, now I get a bunch of instruction about canceling with an EMAIL (which the email she gave me was wrong), told I SHOULD PUT A STOP ON THE TRANSACTION WITH MY BANK ($35.00 COST), and given a list of info needed as long as my arm. I couldn't understand why it just could be changed over the phone from a 5 yr to a 3 yr.. She said it couldn't and I instisted I wanted a manager. Told her if I canceled this CD, I would cancel my 1st one for $100,000. too!. She got someone else on the phone only for me to hear the same info. Again I insisted this could be handled over a phone and finally she spoke to her manager and said I would have to request the change of 5 yrs to 3 yrs., but I didn't have to cancel out my transaction, just send the email along with a picture of my license. When I stated the address to send the email to, she corredted. Sent off and came back undeliverable. Sent to the 1st email given to me by the 1st. Rep., AGAIN UNDELIVERABLE. Now I go into my online account get another email and I am hoping that that email is adhered too, because that was deliverable. I was also hoping to open up a Money Market Account, but after this experience, not to sure about that

Quontic Services - Needs Improvement
In other online CD that I have, after opening up a CD, I'd received a pdf confirmation to show my CD, the term, the maturing date. I don't see anything that I can download to keep for my records.
Secondly, assigning a beneficiary has always been done online, with Quontic, I have to email or send a note to someone to do it for me. After it's done, I'd like to see an official pdf file that shows my beneficiary has been assigned instead of just getting an email from someone to say "It's done."
I'm the type of person that likes to keep a record of everything. It would be nice if you guys can provide that type of service. Thanks!

No other bank has made registering a CD…
No other bank has made registering a CD as difficult and bureaucratic as Quontic. To get my wife on as a joint owner I have to send a scan of her driver's license itself, for example. I wish the original registration had included joint owners and beneficiaries, all at once.
Response from QuonticJul 28, 2021
Thank you from bringing this to our attention. Please note you may add a joint applicant during the initial account opening process. If you wish to add a joint party or beneficiary after the account is established simply sign into your online banking and go to our Self Service tab. One of our Specialists will reach out to you and assist you through this process.

Getting answers to straightforward…
Getting answers to straightforward questions concerning transferring CD interest payments to another account was way too difficult and time consuming. Also the online account information was so basic as to be nearly useless.

Thank you for your feedback! We continue to strive to improve our website to make it more user friendly. We apologize for the delay in completing your inquiry and we hope to restore your confidence in us in the future.

A little disappointed
I was expecting my CD to earn a lot more interest, and I expected to receive statements each month to track my account and advise as to exactly what's happening with it on what days. Sorry but I'm a little disappointed.
Response from QuonticJul 28, 2021
We appreciate your comments! Currently monthly statements for CDs are not available however, you can view your CD balance anytime by logging into your online banking account.

Time for IT
I applied for two CDs about six months ago. The application process and opening an account went relatively well. Last week I applied to open another account for a CD. I was sent a notification from the bank that my application was rejected and that I could call them to find out why. CS Told me that there’s a glitch in the system and that I have to use my alternate email address. What??? I did do that and it did except my application, But now I have two emails working out of the same bank for one account. Very confusing.
