I was told 2 to 3 weeks for refi. 3 months later still nothing. I was told that the mortgage debt was stressed. How can that happen.

Zero communication from Quontic that my checking account had been frozen for a "compliance review." This was in my second week or so as a new customer. I noticed my available balance had changed to $0 when I checked my account. Tried an ATM withdraw and was denied. This was on a Thursday and Monday afternoon still have not heard back. No trust with them. Worried about getting my money back.

Stay well away from this bank. Based on my experience, if you're offered a loan serviced by Quontic Bank ask for another vendor. Quontic held onto over $9300 they owed us for over a month. Finally, filing a complaint with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and making calls to the escrow company that handled the transaction and the loan company that got us into this loan, got Quontic to realize that a bank has certain responsibilities to pay out on the money they owe people.

I'm giving Quontic one star because I actually closed on my house. Otherwise, the worst experience I've had with regard to customer service. If I wasn't pushy to the point of reaching out to the CEO and President of the company, I would have lost my dream home. There were at least 4 people working on my file and they all did not communicate with each other or with me, unless I reached out to them. There was one person though, Darrin English, who was the most helpful. So thank you to him. I wish I can sit here and write exactly what happened and actually give you names, but thinking about how stressful the process was is giving me anxiety. I would like to add for those that are skeptical of my review because I know I would be, is that I'm a legal assistant and work for a major law firm. I understand the importance of giving your clients updates. I don't think I was being unreasonable for wanting to know how much longer before getting a closing date, which I only got because the seller provided my attorney with a demand letter stating that if we don't close by the date they provided, then were going to pull out.

Quontic was involved in a reverse mortgage for my now deceased parents. They did not represent the best interest of my parent's asset. So, when they passed shortly after closing on the reverse mortgage, I had the hardest time, as executor, to get the final payment and close the loan. They were very difficult to work with. They sent out people to my parents home. Very sneaky and deceitful. They would park across the street and just sit in their car. I finally approached one of them to inquire why they were there and what they were doing. They told me it was because of Quontics wanting to keep an eye on the home. I was shocked at this behavior, especially since I began communicating with Quontics, as soon as, the passing of both my parents, which was 40 days apart. Quontics made an already difficult situation that much worse. I will never recommend Quontics to anyone and I actually warn people against using them or any subsidiary.

First of all, this bank is the most incompetent bank to work with in 203K loan. My mom first close her loan with this bank, so I though it would be a great bank to work with from my mom experience. Then I was referred to a senior loan officer name Darren English by a friend. She gave he a background on him saying they used to work together at Wells Fargo. So I decided to give him a shot. One of the worst experiences a first time home buyer could ever experiences. He would promise he was going to call, then he wouldn't return our calls until a few days after, he would then call to update us with the processing of our paperwork. We were unable to get in touch unless Darren would feel like he wanted to give us a word of comfort to let us feel like he was working on getting our loan approved. Prior to getting our loan approved Darren had requested a few information from us in order to help us close faster. Which is my credit card to pay for the appraisal. In the process of trying to get an approval for the loan. We lost the house we was in contract with because this bank Quontic take too long to give us an commitment on the loan and we was out of the 90 day period for commitment. After all we where able to get back the house in contract. We had 2 weeks to close, the appraisal was done, my credit card was charged, we were thinking yes we're almost there. Then come at closing i was told i would be refunded for any fee I pay ahead before closing, so I told the bank attorney I pay for my appraisal should I be reimbursed. The bank told me they have no record I pay for my appraisal. Because they had pay to get it done. I told them my credit card was charged. The next day I researched to see where my card had been charges and the place I found where my card was charged told me someone by the name of Darren English used my credit card to make a purchase. After the police investigate the police told us Darren English used our credit card to pay for his son football team shirts. When we found this out we went to the bank manager and told him everything and even had documentation to back up everything and they did absolutely NOTHING!!! TELL ME WOULD YOU DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK???
