I went into the dealer service center…
I went into the dealer service center with a check engine light on. The mechanic said it was due to needing a tune up. It is a 2013 Ford Edge with 150K miles. It may very well have been due for a tune up, but when it went to Quick lane for the work, I got a call from Justin at the New Smyrna location telling me that the check engine light was due to a bad throttle body. It would cost $200 more, and they already did the tune up. SO I was told one thing then forced to fix the real problem. Quick lane has about 4 employees that just stand behind the counter. If they limited this and hired more mechanics or service techs it would truly be an honest quick experience and not another racket to sell tires and unneeded service. It's also time to change the business' name. There is NOTHING quick about the service. Wait times are hours even when you have an appointment I would find a private mechanic or different dealership. Will never buy at Mullinax again.
