Life saver during a gap in coverage after moving across states!
This was a really helpful resource for myself and my sister who had just moved home from out of state just before this past Thanksgiving and was staying with me while getting her ducks in a row. She was having ongoing asthma and COPD flare-ups that got so severe she even had to visit the ER for urgent treatment a couple of times - but because her health insurance wasn't yet transferred to her new location, we were stuck paying out of pocket for inhalers until the transfer went through in roughly 8-12 weeks at that time, and she was getting ENORMOUS bills for the ER visits. And then thankfully we tried out QuickMD in January! We were able to get a virtual appt with a physician less than 45 minutes after we signed up online, with all upfront reasonable pricing, and a clear and concise plan of action for her specific case. Not only were they able to reach out to her insurance providers to help get the prior authorizations for her regular albuterol inhaler and her COPD bronchodilator, they even helped us find where to fill the prescriptions through a local pharmacy (who then helped us out even more with an additional coupon for the co-pay on albuterol! life savers!!). VERY helpful during a time of need during this brief window between active coverage for my sister, and a great relief to know that for situations like this that there are resources like QuickMD available, and with people happy to help connect you to the care you need :)
