Updated review: While I stand by the fact that their phone tree is terrible the service I experienced with their phlebotomists was so good that I have changed my opinion. They were both friendly and kind and were so adept at drawing my blood that they got it immediately and also left no bruising at all. A tip for people struggling to make an appointment: just make an appointment and say other for the reason instead of trying to sync your doctor's ordered tests, they will be able to look it up once you get there using your information. Original review: You can spend 20 minutes in their phone tree and never talk to a person (and I had a problem scheduling online and NEEDED to talk to a person to make sure I get the right test). Sincerely the worst I have experienced and I wouldn't even be going anymore if my doctor didn't require it. I will make sure to let everyone know how god awful the experience making appointments with Quest is and ask my doctors to send me literally anywhere else.

My doctor ordered a blood test prior to my telemedicine appointment. I was able to do a lot of the "preliminary stuff" (schedule an appointment, pay the downpayment, etc.) ahead of time. The Quest lab I went to was inside a grocery store and I got a ride to and from the place. I arrived pretty early, and had to wait a bit before I used the text to "check in" using a webpage that the email linked to. The waiting room had comfortable chairs and I had a pleasant conversation with another patient. After checking in, I was seen after just a few minutes. I verified the doctor's name who requested the test. My blood was drawn, and I verified my name. It didn't really take too much time. The phlebotomist did a good job, I think, as it wasn't painful. As I understand it, my insurance will cover the cost of the test so my card won't even be charged the downpayment amount. I've been to other Quest labs and sometimes the wait seemed interminable, but it wasn't bad here at all.

I went there for the walk-in, which they stated they support. After waiting for 1+ hours, I have not seen progress. They should have allocated 10 to 20% for the walk ins, but they clearly stated all customers in the queue empty before they take me which could be forever. I made an Aptt and came back again next day, but this time the system did not show me on the list.

Horrible triage and wait. Been almost 90 minutes at the Herndon location and still haven’t been seen. Ridiculously slow. Update: Once seen the techs were wonderful! Kind, careful, and competent. Just understaffed.

Quest diagnostic balance bills all patients and does not honor cash prices that are on their website. and if you file through insurance, they charge you more. I am a healthcare provider and can not believe they are treating my patients like this. 700 bill for basic labs. All physicians please send your business elsewhere. Explained to by Julie, Jennifer, Gustavo the situation and no adjustments can be made. Quest karma comes around and many physicians and patients will be sending their business elsewhere.

Quest is completely incompetent with their billing. They were paid nearly $3000 by my insurance company and covered everything except $49 of my bill. Then for 7 months I keep getting a $3000 bill from Quest. I have called 6 times now and my insurance company has also called. I've sent my EOB to the customer service people at Quest (after being asked to on one of my multiple phone calls to them) and whoever is getting the emails just doesn't do their job. I'll be reporting Quest to the BBB for fraudulent billing practices. They have been paid and its proven in my EOB. They are attempting to get double paid by also billing me. When I call all I get is a person that says they will take care of it and then they just don't. Completely incompetent company.

I had a 1 pm appointment and the woman said she never received the order from my doctor which I know was wrong I dont think she checked fax machine I had docotor resend and I tried to tell the woman and she YELLED at me saying the woman you had has left you have to rec=schedule .I wasted alomost 3 hours .I will avoid this place like the Plague . Extremely rude and thats being nice . Avoid this place

I really wish they were more human friendly, after all, they are dealing with humans. They obviously are not hiring enough personnel, and if they are, they are not scheduling them when demand requires. I don’t know if this has to do with the CEO wanting to make as much money as possible or just poor management. I made my appointment, and mistakenly thought it was 7:50 AM, but when I checked in at 6:30 AM, it was actually 9:50 AM. I know, my error. When a phlebotomist came out at 7:55 AM, I asked if they could take me early because of the error. He then said no, we will take walk-ins before we take appointments even though you checked in at 6:30 AM and have been waiting here all of that time, you will have to wait until your appointment time. I get it, if I didn’t have an additional two hours to wait however, I did have an additional two hours to wait and there were approximately eight people on the standby or walk in list. I then asked him if at 6:30 when I checked in if I had put in Walk in, would I have gotten in earlier? He said yes, because they hit a button that says next, and the technology gives them the next person to pull blood from. So, even though I had an appointment and had checked in very early, I would have to wait proximately four hours to get my blood drawn. This shows the inflexibility of their current system. They no longer have humans in charge, and prefer to let technology be the villain. If I have the choice to go anywhere other than quest diagnostic to get my blood drawn, I will do it. It is not worth the hassle. Yes, they make it very easy to check in but if you have any alteration in your day or emergency come up there is no flexibility in their schedule for you as a human. If you are not there when they call you, they will pass you over. There is no flexibility for you as a human. Perhaps they should have more humans in charge.
