Awful! Impossible to schedule an appointment within a reasonable time, walk-in process is severely flawed - waiting for 3 hours, have shown up at one of their labs with an appointment only to find a note on the door that the lab is closed due to staffing issues. The worst worst worst!!!!!!

I pass up the Lakewood Ranch location because I usually love the Ellenton one. I always give good surveys about the technicians there because they do a great job and they are so nice, but I recently had an experience at Ellenton Quest Lab that left me quite disappointed. I am writing to formally complain about the behavior of Denise on 8/16/24 at 8:50 am. I went in for a routine blood draw and a cortisol test was included. I had gotten up at 8:15 am (which needed to be within 1 hour of awakening), took a 20-minute drive over, checked in on time and waited in the waiting room. I got called back about 9 am by Denise and she started to type my lab requisition into the computer. I tried to make small talk about how her day was going and she immediately said that I couldn't do the cortisol test because it was past 9 am. I replied that it was only 9:03 am and she very hatefully said that I should have made the appointment earlier in the morning. I did say "whatever, just don't do the cortisol test then". I said it calmly, didn't yell nor curse but she said that she didn't like my attitude and that she would have to get someone else to take me over and that I would have to sit back out in the waiting room for them to be available. I am a pharmacist and I work with the general public a lot and I know how hateful the general public can be, but I was far from being rude. Denise was extremely unprofessional, displaying a rude and inconsiderate attitude. She definitely did not handle the situation with care and respect expected in a professional setting. I believe this kind of behavior is unacceptable in a professional environment and it does not reflect well on Quest Diagnostics. I hope this matter can be addressed promptly to prevent future occurrences. I will never go back to this location.

Arrived 5 mins before my appointment at 7.10 am decaffed and hungry. Found the tech outside the building with 3 other patients. She had no keys to the building....not her fault. waited for 10 mins then had to leave because I knew even if she got in I still had to wait behind the others making me late for work. Seems like shoddy planning on managements part. Looking to get bloodwork elsewhere.

by going to jail or the company should be shut down. they let me wait for an hour , ahead a me was a cancer patient falling off the floor who waited more than me. inhuman. they did not care. I know they may be too big to fail but someone should just red tag this place.

Their computer system and software are of substandard quality. The electronically sent orders are not received by their system. Their website is poorly designed and doesn't function well. In particular, one cannot schedule a test via their website form a computer that runs Linux operating system. One can pick up any date next month or later and after filling our all the required boxes the reply is always "the time and date selected are not available anymore". In order for them to improve the above, they would have to fire the company that has developed, installed and maintained their hopeless software and hire another one that knows how to do the job.

Went to a scheduled blood test. They turned me away because they had a company event. They treat you like you don’t exist. On top of it, they had the nerves to charge $300 from my insurance. For something they did not do! Horrible!

I had used Quest Diagnostics for all my lab work in Colorado and now in Arizona. I would purchase a test(s) and make an appointment with the local lab. Every 4-6 months for the last year and a half in AZ. This last time I purchased over $300 of bloodwork and went to make my appointment but not one lab in my area. I was surprised. Now my Quest profile/account know where I am and where I go. No alert to let me know there where NO labs within 100 miles of my address. The lab that I used to use isnt listed. There is no list. Not one lab. Why did their site do that? I sent two separate emails asking for assistance. The first one immediately and the second a few days later. I did get the auto responses for each one but no other direct contact was received. I did explain in both emails that I just needed to cancel my order and get a refund. (They charge a $20 cancelation fee.) I even gave them my order #. No response and that was over a week ago. Chat didn't work. I can't hear much so calling is just frustrating but it was either after hours or busy. I finally went through the online support help desk and submitted a "ticket" explaining everything again with all the needed details. I received a note directing me to call biling. I feel like they are avoiding me and don't want to refund my money. I understand that they will supposedly refund my $ after 60 days ..but damn I shouldn't have to wait any longer for something that they could never fulfill. Other labs have easy cancelation proceses and no stupid fees. Please note I never made an appointment (I couldnt). I am only cancelling my order for the bloodwork... not the actual appointment to get my blood drawn. I have to call again and again for a cancel/refund I should be able to do online. I can with my new lab. They don't take payment till after I have made an appointment with a lab. Quest makes you pay before you can even search for a lab. It just seems shady. They didn't use to be this way. Avoid.

I went to have my blood draw at Quest Diagnostics on Churn Creek Road in Redding, CA. It was the most unprofessional encounter I have ever had in a medical setting. The staff is hostile and blatantly rude with absolutely no justification. Their bad attitudes made the whole experience repulsive. Are any of these places monitored or managed?
