Quasar Expedition far exceeded my expectations. Pre-trip communications were excellent. Diane and Paul took the time to answer all of our questions no matter how petty. As I had a recent hip replacement, I had some concerns about the difficulties I might encounter on the trip. The guides and all of the crew were always there to assist me and made sure I was able to enjoy the full experience! I cannot say enough about the crew from daily maintaining of our cabin to receiving warm towels and hot cocoa in the jacuzzi upon our return from snorkeling. The food was exquisite and all of the personnel so friendly and helpful. What made the trip one of the most memorable in all of my years of travel were our 2 incredible, knowledgeable, passionate and compassionate guides, Roberto and Gustavo! Their love of the Galapagos Islands and the rare and amazing animals and plants was evident from our very first briefing. They both knew everything about native/invasive plants and animals and the past and present concerns facing the Islands. They were as excited as we were when we encountered a pod of Orca Whales and a Wright whale that breached in front of our eyes and when a school of dolphins accompanied our ship. They delighted in pointing out the Galapagos penguins, lizards, frigate birds, blue-footed boobies. They pointed out the differences between the land and marine iguanas. We enjoyed viewing the incredible tortoises. We all delighted in the antics of the sea lions. While snorkeling, they alerted us to sea turtles, penguins zipping by and where we could spot sharks and mantra rays. Thanks to our guides, on our last snorkeling day, I experienced the magical moment of swimming beside a giant sea turtle. I do not have enough superlatives to describe the trip of a lifetime. A bonus was meeting and bonding with our fellow passengers that hailed as far away as England and Chile. MY GRACE was a ten star experience for me!

WOW! What a week aboard the m/v Evolution. My husband and I have wanted to travel to The Galapagos Islands for a long time and finally made it happen. Our 7 night cruise was the ideal way to go. Our Naturalists, Sam and Boli, were outstanding "hosts" every day. They were warm, smart, accomodating and professional. Their senses of humor were perfect for our fun-loving cohort of ship mates. Our hotel manager Steve, Dr. Isaac, bartender Dr. G, the chef, panga drivers and all other staff/crew worked tirelessly to make our trip run seamlessly - it was comfortable, informative, fascinating and memorable. The ship itself was renovated recently and is lovely. I spent every free moment upstairs on the open air deck - a magnificent spot! One area I would improve on is the food - while plentiful, varied and beautifully presented, I found it lacking in taste. (Keep the make-your-own omelette and cereal options at breakfast!) That said, we are already talking about going back aboard the Evolution to do the other itinerary in the future. Thanks to all for a phenomenal week - one we will not soon forget!

Our Galapagos Islands trip on the M/V Evolution far exceeded our expectations. Incredible scenery, animals up close and personal everywhere we went. The on-board naturalists were passionate about their work and it was a joy to spend our week with them. The ship's crew was professional and fun. I'll definitely be booking my next adventure to South America with Quasar.

Ship experience - wonderful. Cabin was spacious and comfortable, service impeccable, excursions fantastic. Having the naturalist guides was invaluable. Meals and snacks were delicious, healthful, and great variety. Absolutely the trip of a lifetime!

From the moment I stepped out of the park headquarters building and met Sam, one of the National Guides, and the rest of the crew, I didn't worry about anything all week long. The crew and staff was so courteous, friendly, and competent that it seemed like everything worked by magic, though of course it was all their hard work the entire week. The islands themselves as experienced during the excursions were nothing short of awe inspiring. Baby sea lions, crabs, untold varieties of birds, iguanas, sharks, fish, flamingos, orcas, turtles, tortoises... and the amazing thing is how unafraid of humans the wildlife is. Something very primal inside of me was touched and awakened in the Galapagos- just being there had that much of an impact. It really was the crew and the Evolution that made the trip, though. The food was wonderful, the cabin was cozy, comfortable and cleaned multiple times a day (perfect for me as a solo traveler, though it could have easily accommodated another person too), the guides did an amazing job of sharing their immense knowledge of the wildlife and geology, and there were many surprises that brought a smile to my face each day. The only time I was ever uncomfortable was in the air conditioning in some of the public spaces. I wish I had brought some additional warm clothes for dinners and briefings as I hadn't anticipate being that cold. Of course, temperature is a balancing act when trying to keep so many people comfortable and the crew did their best to keep all of us happy. Overall, I wish I could go back tomorrow! It's a gorgeous place with wildlife beyond compare, and the competence and friendliness of everyone at Quasar made this the perfect vacation.

We had a wonderful trip. Quasar staff and guides were thoughtful, attentive, well organized and made us all feel safe and at home. They were also very nice people, who had a sense of fun. The trip was a fascinating blend of touring, watching wildlife, being active in nature. We were lucky to have a group of people on our trip who were compatible and although we came from different backgrounds and had varied interests, we got along well. The food was amazing (we had a special chef the week of our tour) All in all, this was an outstanding experience.
