Quark ExpeditionsReviews of quarkexpeditions.com

My fourth expedition with Quark. Each trip has been an improvement on the previous one. On this occasion the organisers and (very skilled) crew went out of their way to accommodate my needs and make my trip more comfortable. Highly recommended.

The focus of the trip was to view the total eclipse and the brilliant team put together to secure this goal certainly delivered, right down to deciding to move our position just 20 minutes before totality, which secured our perfect view, while others nearby missed out. Special thanks must go to the teams eclipse expert, David Baron, for making that call.

Quark specializes in polar trips, so if you are thinking about going to either the south or North Pole regions, you should consider taking a Quark Expeditions. They have a great staff for both the ship and the expedition team which guides you in the remote places that you visit. We have just return from the Greenland adventure in which we saw a lot of birds and musk ox. As in all of these polar trips the weather and what the wild life do are unpredictable but the Quark guide know the best locations where there is a higher chance of seeing some great wild life.

Our Quark expedition was beyond description! We were on the total solar eclipse expedition. Both the hospitality team and the expedition team were wonderful. The hospitality team was always helpful and cheerful which was a delight. The expedition team, with so many different experts, gave fantastic lectures, and their passion for their work was ever evident. While on land expeditions and zodiac cruises they continuously provided such interesting information. I cannot say enough about these wonderful people. Kudos to all. It was a tremendous experience!

!!!!!!!!!!

Great knowledge of the area, pleasant ship ride.

The places we went where no one else was there, friendly staff, knowledgeable guides

If you're thinking about booking a Quark Expedition, do it. They have a team of experienced expedition leaders that do their very best to ensure an expedition to remember. They do this by adjusting the schedule for both water/waves and weather conditions. The Expedition will have a planed route that can and will change because of these factors. In our experience the change was for the better. The leaders are personable, professional, and clearly love what they do. Quark has programs in the evenings or on sea days where they present hour long presentations on local history, flora and fauna, and other topics. The ships crew (including housekeeping, bartenders, waitstaff, and the sailors) are also professional, personable, and interact with the guests. The ship is clean and comfortable with plenty of spaces to enjoy. There are expeditions every day, outside of sea days, that include hiking and Zodiac excursions. You will not be bored. Having been to both the Arctic and Antarctic with Quark I can assure you that these are trips of a lifetime.
