Purebred Kittens has been very helpful in matching us with a breeder for the kitten we wanted. It has been a roller coaster ride (not Purebred’s fault at all) and they have been very helpful and supportive. We are so excited to welcome our new kitten home soon. Thank you for all of your help! We will write another review/updated review when we have our kitten home with us.

Bengal kitten purchased died less than…
Bengal kitten purchased died less than a week from delivery.
Kitten was diagnosed with FPV post mortem.
Feline Panleukopenia Virus has an incubation period of up to two weeks, meaning that kitten most likely came ill or acquired illness on extensive travel from Ukraine to Philadelphia airport where she was picked up on a very cold day in February at an airport parking lot.
When I took the kitten for its first vet visit, 3 days after delivery, she had a fever which the veterinarian treated with subcutaneous fluids and antibiotics.
Supposedly the kitten had its FPV vaccinations in order, so FPV was not high on the list of diagnosis. Since there were no cats living in my household nor have there ever been the only conclusion is that I received an unhealthy kitten. The kitten did not make it to its follow up appointment as it died at home. The deceased cat was taken to the vet who tested it for FPV and it came out Positive.
I requested a refund from Purebred Kitties who gave me an extensive run around despite providing them with all the medical records from the vet to no avail.
They supposedly have a "Health Guarantee" which they do not honor. They also manage to remove negative reviews from Trustpilot as this is my third criticism of my experience with them and surely it will be removed.

This is my first time ever buying and adopting a Mainecoon, so I was a little nervous about it. Communication was great, I got photos of Gavin every week up until it was ready and time to get him. Very first day he made himself at home within a few hours. :)

Thank you for your kind review! We're delighted that Gavin settled in so quickly and that you had a great adoption experience. We wish you both many happy years together!

Heartbreaking Experience and Lack of Transparency
We adopted our Abyssinian kitten, Canelo (Dallas), from Purebred Kitties on April 20, 2026. From the moment he came home, Canelo was the perfect kitten loving, intelligent, playful, and full of personality. He quickly became part of our family.
Unfortunately, within weeks of adoption, we began noticing health concerns. We brought him to multiple veterinary appointments, including an emergency visit on May 23rd, after seeing changes in his energy, appetite, and breathing. Despite our efforts and repeated medical evaluations, Canelo’s condition worsened. On June 13th, he was diagnosed with pyothorax, a severe chest infection requiring emergency treatment and surgery. We spent nearly $15,000 attempting to save him, but despite the incredible efforts of his veterinary team, Canelo tragically passed away less than two months after coming home.
The most painful part, aside from losing him, was Purebred Kitties’ response afterward. We provided his medical records and requested support, but they stated the condition was “acquired” and therefore not covered under their warranty. However, Canelo’s veterinarians could not determine the exact cause of his pyothorax. Their conclusion that it developed after adoption was based on assumptions, despite the fact that Canelo was indoor-only, never exposed to other animals, and showed health concerns shortly after arriving home.
We also requested Canelo’s complete adoption and health records to better understand his medical history and the care provided before adoption. Despite multiple follow-ups, we did not receive the requested documentation.
Our biggest concern is the lack of transparency and accountability. When families trust a breeder with a living being, they deserve honesty, communication, and support especially when something goes terribly wrong so early on.
Canelo was not a transaction; he was our family. He brought us immense joy during the short time we had with him, and we will always cherish him. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we cannot recommend Purebred Kitties to future families.

We are truly sorry for the loss of Canelo and extend our heartfelt condolences to your family. We understand how deeply painful this has been.
We take your concerns seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly. We will be reaching out to you via the email address and phone number associated with your adoption so we can discuss your concerns further.
Again, we are deeply sorry for your loss and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Unfortunately I was sent a cat with two…
Unfortunately I was sent a cat with two stomach parasites which ultimately spread due to the stressful journey from Ukraine to the United States. He is such a good boy and so kind but this is unacceptable. As this company is shipping cats from Ukraine they must ensure the cat has no parasites before they ship him. The shipping process was also quite miserable as they had me wait 3 extra weeks when claiming he was ready, leading to having to pay a flight nanny an additional 300$

Thank you for sharing your experience. We sincerely apologize for the health concerns your kitten experienced after arriving. His health and well-being are very important to us, and we're glad to hear he is now doing well and has such a loving home.
All of our kittens receive veterinary care and are examined before travel. However, we understand how stressful international travel can be, and we take concerns like yours seriously. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working with our breeders and veterinary partners to maintain the highest standards of care.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. We're always here to help.
We wish you and your wonderful boy many happy and healthy years together.
