Not as smooth as I expected
I give them 2 1/2 points, was not a selection. The original sales lady was pushy and not very forthcoming about where the puppy was located nor when she would be delivered and it was not an option for me to pick her up. I had to pay the $700+ for “their people” to deliver her in person. After calling several times and kept getting a sales person, they said I should have received a call from transportation office, and she was going to send “them” an email requesting someone contact me. After a couple days of no one calling, I once again tried to get someone to answer my puppy delivery question, it took almost a day to finally get someone in the right department, they apologized and said I should have been contacted last week for delivery schedule - a little late. She proceeded to tell me my puppy was coming from IN and the next time they would be in my area (VA) would be September 21st - it was August 21st the day I called - I said that was unacceptable, I was not waiting a month to get my puppy, and said I would fly out to get her, which they agreed. So now I had to spend a one day round trip ticket to South Bend IN and back to VA, and an extra $125 for an 8 week old puppy airline ticket - was not happy I had to do the leg work and once they gave me the name of the breeder I had to look them up, as they would not give me any other information, to coordinate meeting me at the South Bend IN airport, day/time. I asked Puppy Spot to reimburse me for the $700+ they charged me for their delivery fee, and she said they would only reimburse me $449.44 because the remainder was for the Vet fee’s (which I was never told I had to pay, I thought the breeder was paying her vet clearance visit), once again I was not happy with Puppy Spot. Also, when I asked why their fee’s were an odd amount, I.e: $449.49 vice $500.00, the sales lady could not tell me why or how they did their billing. The total I paid for my puppy was an odd amount too, not even numbers. I had inquired about her sister the day after I purchased my puppy as she was still available and her price had been reduced - once again, to an odd number - and that if I wanted her sister she could knock off something like $200.00, I decided I didn’t want the sister…hmmm, I still don’t know what the breeder would have charged vice going through Puppy Spot. On another note - I commend her breeder as they did a fantastic job interacting her with people, and familiarizing her with play toys. I love her as she is so loving and cuddles everyone. I think I now have stock in Chewy, as I went a little overboard.
