My biggest complaint is not having the location of the puppy. I understand not giving the exact location, but at least the State and direction would be helpful…This puppy is located in Southern Ohio, this puppy is located in Delaware, this puppy is located in South East Montana.
Response from PuppySpotJul 4, 2026
We appreciate your feedback regarding the clarity of puppy locations. We understand how important it is to have a general idea of where a puppy is located, and we are actively working on ways to provide more specific regional information without compromising privacy. Your suggestion is very helpful.

Learn from our experience
Using Puppyspot afforded no advantages or conveniences over dealing directly with the breeder only problems. You do not have one representative through the process which results in conflicting information given. The staff was always courteous. Upon inquiring on the puppy we were told the breeder has taken a special course given by the university in Indiana. What was left out was the breeder gives most of vaccines except Rabies which had to be given by a DVM in that state. . This has caused many problems with our Florida DVM, pet sitter and pet insurer who state a DVM should sign off on the vaccines. Next we were lead to believe the dog would have a chip. We paid $110.0 for AKC papers and chip registration. We brought the dog to our Vet who could not find the chip. When I called Puppyspot was informed bernedoodles do not get AKC papers just certificate and that breeder did not microchip the dog. I was told to make and send a claim after we had the microchip put in. My Vet thought best to wait until she is being spayed and do the chip while under anesthesia for both. That means we have to wait a couple months and she does not have the extra protection of the chip should she ever get loose. Next I was informed she ate Purina Pro Puppy food, then that she ate Probity Food. I ordered the Probity food to find out she ate Purina Pro food after ordering the Probity. Puppyspot states the dog will arrive with a small bag of food. She arrive with an unmarked sandwich Ziplock bag of food with no name on it.
We opted to meet the transporter. We were encouraged to buy a puppy package that included items for car transport. The carrier we received was for a small dog. Our puppy weighed 33 lbs and did not fit. I called to send it back because we could not use it Puppyspot told me to keep it and refunded our purchase price.
Lastly, upon checking the breeder's website we overpaid for the puppy.
However, I do want to say we did get a sweet, adorable, smart puppy that we instantly fell in love with.
Upon arrival our puppy needed immediate grooming.
However, due to all the above issues this is the first and last time we would use this service. We should have done better research so please learn from our experience.

I called PuppySpot because I’m looking for a xl bully.
I called PuppySpot because I’m looking for an American XL Bully male puppy, and the entire call was a mess from start to finish. The representative clearly had no idea what she was talking about and acted like I was the one confused.
When I asked if they had American XL Bullies, she immediately tried to “correct” me with, “Do you mean an American bulldog?” I said no, and explained that they’re usually listed as XL Bully. Then she switched to, “Do you mean a pitbull?” — which is not even remotely the same breed. They aren’t “like” pitbulls, they aren’t related, and anyone working for a dog-placement company should know that.
But here’s the part that shows how ridiculous the whole conversation was:
She kept correcting me over and over, but when she brought up pitbulls, she admitted they don’t carry pitbulls either. So why argue with me about a breed they don’t even offer?
I asked if they had mastiffs, and she gave me a dismissive “sometimes” like they don’t like dealing with large breeds at all. But when I asked if they had any larger breeds, she suddenly said, “Yeah, we have Cane Corso and Great Dane.” So they’ll carry those massive breeds, but not bullies? It makes zero sense.
Meanwhile, they do carry Chihuahuas — a breed that is far more likely to bite someone than a well-bred bully. The fact that they’ll list those but refuse to carry bullies tells you everything about how little they understand about temperament, breed standards, or responsible placement.
And to top it all off, her phone started ringing mid-conversation, and instead of silencing it or apologizing, she just kept talking over it like it was normal. It was loud, distracting, and incredibly unprofessional — like she couldn’t even be bothered to take the call seriously.
When I said I’d look elsewhere since they don’t carry the breed, she hit me with a sarcastic, “OK whatever, have a good search,” and hung up on me. That’s their idea of customer service.
If PuppySpot can’t train their staff to speak respectfully, learn basic breed distinctions, or even maintain basic professionalism during a phone call, I wouldn’t trust them with helping anyone find a dog. I’ll be taking my business to a breeder who actually knows what they’re talking about.

We are truly sorry to hear about your frustrating experience during your recent call with us. We understand your disappointment regarding the lack of understanding about specific breeds and the unprofessional conduct you encountered. This is certainly not the standard of service we aim to provide, and we appreciate you bringing these serious concerns to our attention. We are actively reviewing our training protocols and internal processes to ensure our representatives are knowledgeable, respectful, and professional at all times. Your feedback is invaluable as we work to improve our customer interactions and breed education.

Needs Improvement
Company Rescheduled the delivery of my dog one day before it was supposed to arrive. Originally they tried to blame me for not responding but then apologized after showing several screenshots that I had which stated I had done everything that needed to be done to get my dog by X date. I was refunded a patial amount and in my opinion the amount was not enough to make up for the delay that was caused by their logistical shortcoming. The dog was disclosed to have an issue before it was delivered and that the dog had corrective surgery done and had healed a month before it was brought home to our house. I commend them on being open and honest about that but did not appreciate the dog being late and then being blamed for it when I had confirmation no further action was needed to get the dog on time.
I will say our dog is happy and healthy and was deivered the best I can tell with care, witholding the logistical issues, I am happy with the animal I received even if it was late. He has been a great addition to our family and we love him.

Smooth and easy experience
The process was easy and clear. I loved how the reps were consistent and kept in contact with me throughout the process. Delivery was great as well, on time as mentioned with no issues.
My only issue is the promise of up to date shots and vaccines for Chase (Ben), but, once I took him to the vet the doctor said the vaccine documents I was given were invalid because they were not signed. I had to get him completely vaccinated from scratch. That seems like false advertising but hey who am I. I'm just happy that other than that Chase is in good health and fitting in at my home just fine.
Overall experience was great, thank you for my new fur baby. Already so in love.
