Hoped we didn't need
Got a kitty hoping we'd barely ever have to use the insurance. By the stars, it was worth it when she got diagnosed with a rare disease that would have cost thousands. Thankfully, it was covered and paid in a fair amount of time for an insurance claim. So grateful for this

I shopped around
I shopped around and found Pumpkins Ins to be more reasonable in their services and pricing. Even though their fairly new I decided to go with them. They were very helpful in assisting me. I gave them 3 stars because I haven’t had to use their coverage. I will post again when I do.

The policy did not cover what I thought…
The policy did not cover what I thought was not a preexisting pisition. I am going to cancel the policy.

Thanks for your feedback, Susan! We'd love to discuss your Explanation of Benefits with you as well as our policy on pre-existing conditions. Like most providers, we do not provide coverage for pre-existing conditions. This means that if something occurs, or was showing signs or symptoms prior to enrollment or during the waiting period, it would not be eligible for coverage. This includes conditions that are related to, secondary, or resultant from a pre-existing condition. Once a claim is filed, it is then processed by a Pumpkin claims team member, all of which have a veterinary medical background. Our claims team uses medical records and documentation provided by your veterinarian in order to determine coverage eligibility. Keep in mind that while we may not be able to offer coverage for pre-existing issues, new unrelated accidents or illnesses may be eligible for coverage.
