My external hard drive stopped working. Contacted Proven Data Recovery and they were able to retrieve all of the data on the hard drive. They were fast and responsive during the whole process. If I ever have another computer issue, I will be contacting them again.

Proven did recover a lot of data and we are grateful to be close to 100%. Use the cloud and back up drives!! We had 2 drives in RAID and after we got our info back I think we may have lost some newer info since both drives experienced a type of failure. The price was four times the low estimate and almost double the high estimate. The timing went from 6-10 days to almost three weeks. If it came down to it I would probably use them again and now I know the price and timing can vary that much. All representatives were very polite and responded in a timely fashion.

Dear Sol, Thank you for your feedback. We are happy you received most of your data that was lost. We take feedback like yours very seriously. I’m disappointed to hear you were not satisfied with the service you received. I’d like to address your concerns: Pricing: Comparing this cost to some of our top competitors, the quoted price was an extremely modest quote for a RAID recovery. Our records show that the original estimate was based off several factors including type of device, failure and RAID configuration. What made the cost higher than the anticipated estimate was that you had the drive looked at by two other companies in addition to your IT staff. Any experienced data recovery company knows that whenever another party tampers with a device, it significantly makes the recovery more difficult, as the first attempt to recover the data is most successful. The majority of data recovery companies charge a tampering fee for this reason and we actually waived this in your case. Timing: The service starts when you approve the quote. We quoted you the standard service on 3/20, it stated that it would be 6 - 10 business days. The time before that was spent on waiting for signatures, evaluation, and correspondence. While we always aim to exceed expectations, this recovery landed on the 10th business day which put it within the promised time frame. As mentioned previously, this recovery was significantly more difficult as it was attempted by 3 other parties. I hope this clarifies the comments you had left. After loosing files from a flash drive that were not backed up, Proven Data Recovery was able to restore 90% of my files for a reasonable price. While the service did take longer than anticipated (about 3 weeks from start to finish), they offered a discount to our original price agreement to compensate. Everyone I dealt with was very professional, understanding and committed to working with me. While I hope I never need their service again, I would go back if necessary.

I really liked the service I received from Proven Data. I was able to drop off my damaged hard drive at a secure drop off location downtown (with an incredible view of Lake Michigan). Communication was free-flowing, I was able to call and email the office at any time (during business hours) and Steve or Mark would help me. Steve and Mark are both very friendly and easy to work with. I wish there had been more information given on my options as to what I can do with my data once its recovered. It was posed in such a way that I had to buy a new hard drive through them. However, I had an external hard drive handy so I asked if they would be able to put my recovered data on that and they said it wasn't a problem. They paid for me to ship my external and to ship both the external and the damaged hard drive back to me. The cost of services was incredible compared to some other options out there! I was quoted at one place for $1300 minimum. Proven Data did a free estimate and charged me $412 for the complete recovery. It took a little longer than I would have liked, but there was a more expensive option to have it done in 3 business days. I'm broke so I opted for the 6-9 business day option. I would recommend Proven Data to anyone. Very happy with my service!
