I had a system in my home and it belongs to Vivint. Protection one installed the new panel and did not add all of the devices to the system. I reached out to protection one about the issues and they told me I would have to pay for a technician to install the devices. That's poor customer service. The technician that installed the system never installed the other devices.

After 16 years of great service - both customer service and system functionality - we started having wireless sensors fail one after another, one about every 3-4 months. The sixth one just failed out of the fourteen that we have. When the fifth one failed I requested that all the sensors be changed and was told no problem. Technician arrived and said his work order was for only one sensor. I didn't press the issue then. Now when the sixth one failed I replayed the story for the customer service rep Fran and was told she entered all the info into the order and it would be taken care of. Local tech Brian (great support and info from him) called this morning to say he was on the way. I asked him what was in the work order and he said replace one sensor. I called back to customer service, recounted the story again to the rep, she transferred me to a manager who refused to authorize changing out remaining sensors. I explained that we were very unhappy with the safety questions this trend of failing equipment poses but he would not budge. Bad service! And from a business perspective what does is say about efficiency and cost effectiveness when a business chooses to send a tech out 14 times instead of 1??? I wouldn't run my company that way.

I have called 3 times for a return label within the 14 day period and each time they tell me they will email me one, it's just a regular email. I'm tired of calling them back and not having this resolved. It's still not resolved. During setup, the person on the phone had me test the panic button, which caused the police to show up 5 minutes later and issue me a false alarm citation. I wouldn't recommend this company even if they were the only alarm company that existed.

I like the system and the persons I have dealt with. I am unhappy because of the misrepresentation I received when the system was sold me. I was supposedly getting an upgrade on my equipment, instead I was sold a new system by another entity ( tortious interference) or overhanging the market or something of the sort. I am stuck for now for the life of the contract otherwise there is an enormous cancellation fee due after 3 days. I would like to warn others to beware of these underhanded tactics.

System was hooked up over 3 weeks ago and 1 of the window contacts was not working, they wanted to charge me $45 for a window contact which I would not pay since they showed up at my home inspection when we bought the house and said they would have everything fixed and working correctly. Asked for an outdoor camera to go with system, tech showed up without it and said it was not on order, then was told later it would be 399.00. Still waiting for tech to come and fix the window contact as it seems only at night the system wants to tell me there is a window open.

The salesforce was friendly and accommodating.The installation went fine.I had my first alarm which came from a motion sensor in the house. I have no pets. Your alarm company called the first number on The list which was my work number-on a Saturday. They did not call the second or third number which was myself in a relative that lives nearby. If this is been a real burglary I would've been cleaned out. Your protocols need to be tightened and your response team needs to be better trained.

Not even willing to share the experience at this point. It is of note that any new or even existing customer should know that the main number you must call for Protection1 is a national call center and doesn't reach the local office. The "new" touch keypads are unreliable. Not recommended whatsoever. The call center is horrible, does not communicate well with the local offices, and should be avoided.
