We received our box of equipment issued as a self-install. It took about an hour to walk around the house and install the contacts on all doors, mount the smoke and glass break detectors and then call the central number for activation. The longest part of the setup was having the phone technician step through each device connection to insure that it functioned correctly. There were no wires to connect, no electronics to mess with and no computer programs to modify. Everything included in the box was plug & play. As indicated, my system was up and running within an hour. I spent another 30 minutes or so configuring my Smartphone and laptop to be able to monitor my system and change personal settings. I am extremely pleased with both the system as well as the pricing that was offered through USAA!!

Our prior company came to replace a bad battery and left with a nonworking alarm system. They did not follow through on their promises to send a sales person to discuss installing a new system. Protection1 responded quickly to my inquiry, and had someone out with in a day and had a new system board installed in a few days. They were professional, efficient, and a welcome improvement on the old company.

I am using Protection 1 on two homes that I have. On my last installation, the technician was prompt and knowledgable. They provide great customer service and their follow up on alarm triggers is wonderful. I would most definitely recommend them.
