First of all, I want to say that this is excellent quality shampoo. The best I have ever used. It’s just too bad sales and schemes totally damage its reputation. One you order it keeps landing back way too frequently and feel there must be some sort of small print I am missing. Also, initial discounted price is barely reasonable, the prices skyrocket after that. It’s a shame to offer such a great product and then ruin it by smarmy practices.

I have been using Prose skin and hair products for almost 2 years now. My hair and skin are definitely better and I will continue to use the products. But, the company is difficult to work with. There is no direct contact, their questionnaires to review product satisfaction are very limited and wanting, shipping is terribly slow and I cannot get directly into my account at will; I have to request entry every time. Feeling frustrated!

Less Perks More Money I have been a subscriber for over 6 years. I love the products, but it feels like Prose stopped caring about us. We used to get notified when our automatic order was a few days out from processing. I would use that time to review my hair needs and/or change product fragrances. They stopped sending the reminders and there is nowhere on the subscription page to turn it back on. They also used to offer a free product after 10 items purchased. They quietly took that away without even informing us. They also used to randomly send free gifts, ie: a comb, a pocket mirror, a terry cloth head band... They stopped doing that too. They took away all the little things that made it feel like we mattered, all while continuing to raise costs every couple of years.

I like the products, they’ve gotten more expensive and I would like to review my subscription before I’m charged every time. I don’t always need products.

I enjoy the product so much and have been a loyal customer for years - the mask transformed my scalp! I love the shampoo and conditioner. That said, I would like the opportunity to redo my hair quiz for a new formulation every once in a while. I also am continually disappointed that I do not receive a notification before the product goes into production to give the opportunity to snooze an order. I have at least three bottles of stock and not being notified to snooze is very frustrating. (This might be user error!)

I love this product, but the deliveries are too frequent and managing the delivery timeline is cumbersome. I have way too much on hand, and the difference between the billing and shipping throws me off every time...so I frequently miss my opportunity to adjust the delivery until it's too late.

I really love the products with one major caveat: If you choose the automatic shipment route, there is no warning before they send out product, just an email saying it’s on the way giving you no chance to stop the shipment if you aren’t ready. I have found I have to really watch it to be sure I don’t end up with way too much. Also, the longest you can go between shipments without suspending the order is 12 weeks which is too soon for some products (assuming they don’t send it early, which has happened, again with no warning and no way to stop the order). So, if you don’t mind babysitting your account, the products are great.

Products are great. System could use some improvements. When I evaluate whether to order supplements, it is completely unpredictable whether they will arrive in 3 days or 3 weeks. So sometimes I have my next refill sitting in the closet for a couple weeks, or I'm trying to stretch out my last week of supplements so all my hair doesn't fall out from the sudden supply cutoff. I think Prose should also send out a reminder to review subscription shipments a few days before they get billed and processed. I'm sure it results in more people being reminded they want to cancel the subscription, but the lack of this reminder (when all other subscription companies do this) feels underhanded and scammy.
