I have never written a review on an insurance company before but I cannot say enough good things about Proper Insurance. I had pipes freeze over winter that burst causing significant water damage throughout my cabin in upstate NY and Proper insurance helped me make the best of an absolute nightmare. Katee Gibson was my desk adjuster and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was prompt, professional, quick to respond to all my inquiries and handled my claim process exceptionally well. You never expect anything to go wrong but when it does it makes a world of difference to have great insurance on your side. Proper Insurance came through for me with a generous and quick settlement of my claim for all damages and my home was made whole again. They even paid for my loss of business income. I cannot recommend them enough, thank you Katee and thank you Proper Insurance you guys are the best!

Had a water damage claim on one of our rentals and Cali handled it for us. She was easy to work with — quick to respond, kept me in the loop, and coordinated with our mitigation company directly so I wasn't stuck in the middle. Made what's usually a headache pretty painless. Appreciate the help, Cali.

The salesman will say whatever it takes for you to make that premium payment and then afterwards, the customer service will hound you for full inspection report. Given this behavior, I can't trust any future real claims processing will be any easier as they'll probably be much of the same so I cancelled my policy fully today. Fortunately if you cancel within a 30 day window to cancel to get full refund but my impression stands.
