I've held Proper Insurance for over two years now for my Airbnb. Originally, I chose it because it seemed like a high-quality, white-glove service company to protect my Airbnb. What became very evident, though, after filing a claim for sudden water loss that was well-documented, was that they are extremely scrupulous and unwilling to tie the water intrusion to the resulting mold, eliminating our ability to access the very funds we thought we would be protected by under this policy. Exercise caution and be aware that even a policy with named coverages may not be approved under a vague determination and nothing more.

These people are deceptive!! They cover nothing but their prices keep going up. Terrible!!

If you have a condo unit in the southern coastal line area with hurricanes, doesn't use this insurance company. We can't fire a claim for lose of rental income due to hurricane Debby that hit our area and the guests cancelled the booking, even though there is a clause for that. They showed us another clause that nullifies it due a condition we condo owners have it covered with our master insurance. Just get a regular condo insurance. Update after the company reply, 9/28/2024 You should explain this to me when you sold the policy to me. The agent made a convincing argument with this. In any case your policy is useless to us.

Initial request for quote was great but rep assigned did not supply policy comparison till I asked twice, got "canned" response even though actual other quote was sent. Comparision was wrong and last email resorted to "fear tactics" to try and get me to book policy. Got same for a lot less elsewhere.
