Rethinking Procell Day 3
I had a Procell treatment two days ago. My skin was glowing pink/red after. It felt itchy, dry, and tight after the treatment. I kept putting my hyrolonic acid-based moisturizer on like 6-7 times throughout the day to combat the dryness. (My skin was the worst in a previously sensitive area.) I used the aftertreatment as recommended. The same area broke out into a rash. Day 3- I am using CBD ointment to promote healing and calm the itchy feeling. I do not know if this is worth the inflammatory response. I was a skin care expert through the International Dermal Institute. Not one of the treatments I performed on people ever caused a bad reaction.
Response from Procell TherapiesOct 30, 2025
Hi there, A Procell Microchanneling treatment is designed to activate the body’s natural healing response, which temporarily creates increased absorption pathways in the skin. Because of that, it’s very important to follow the specific aftercare protocol developed by Dr. Schwartz, which is a fragrance free, dermatologist-formulated hydrating mask, to avoid irritation. When non-protocol moisturizers or serums are applied within 24 hours post-treatment, ingredients not meant for deep absorption can penetrate more readily and cause redness, dryness, or rashes in sensitive areas. Procell’s post-care regimen has been used in over 1.3 million treatments without allergic reactions, so reactions like this are almost always linked to products introduced outside the official protocol. If you’re a student practitioner currently learning this treatment at an Institute, please reach out to [email protected] so we can help identify any variations in the school’s procedure and ensure you have everything you need to achieve the best results. We’ll be happy to help you get this resolved and your skin back to balance! Sincerely, Camille Director of Communications
