Project Ruby is awesome for making bc so accessible and available but my last two orders were delayed without warning way longer than expected. For something as time sensitive as birth control that was anxiety inducing. One order said it was shipping but took an extra week to arrive and on another I had trouble with payment without debit card and then the order was postponed for 5 extra days while I missed confirmation calls at work and there were no call back numbers or anyone responding to my concerned emails.

Easy but would like more organization.
I love Prjkt Ruby because of how easy it makes getting birth control! However the ordering can sometimes be confusing. I did order my last cycle of pills and never got an email that confirmed my order and was not able to track it. That would have been a nice feature.

CSR's sometimes acts as Physician
Sometimes questions are answered by unqualified Customer Service Representatives rather than a physician, even you when directly email your prescribing doctor you sometimes get a response from a CSR. CSR's should handle billing issues, etc. But when I ask question to a physician regarding my medication, side effects, and its comparison to another medication I should not receive a response from a CSR. In fact, this may pose some serious legal ramifications for you.

Great company- if you're cisgender
Great company- if you're cisgender. I had heard really great things about prjkt ruby from a friend who had used them before, and i needed birth control without a lot of drama. Unfortunately, in spite of socially aware friends thinking PR was very trans friendly, that was not my experience. To be clear: my experience was a one-star experience only because i finally got my prescription. I rated three because PR provides vital services, and i'm aware ignorance is par for the course. I was just hoping for something better.
First- they ask for your gender. I understand that there's some misconception that bc increases estrogen so some trans women who don't think to google might want it (but they're female so what does this question even accomplish?? don't even get me started on nonbinary folks)-- but i was told that if "[male name] wanted to pay for the prescription, that was fine, but they needed the patient's information." When i told them that [male name] was me, i was the patient, i was informed that "We have a problem." Long story short, i ended up talking to some kind of supervisor who didn't know anything about trans issues. I heard some a very distinctive echo which has me convinced i was answering personal medical questions on speakerphone, and agreeing that i was "transitioning to a male" even though my transition is complete and i would still be male if it wasn't. The sudden and audible light bulbs going off when they realized i hadn't had any kind of bottom surgery and said, "And that's why you need birth control," would have been the nail in the coffin if i hadn't really needed this prescription.
It's entirely possible that my experience was a one-off. Hey, maybe PR has even educated their people since. I certainly hope so, because my experience was humiliating, which is sadly what i'm used to with medical professionals. I had hoped PR would be a change from that.

The concept of Prjkt Ruby is wonderful BUT
The concept of Prjkt Ruby is wonderful. I love ordering pills online and receiving them in the mail, at a fair price. Unfortunately, there are always delays with my order. They pretty much stop every order for review, taking 2-3 days to call me, talk to me in person, which is really annoying, especially when I need my prescription on time. If they need to review my prescription, they should allow for call scheduling, and do it in a way that does not delay my prescription. I am grateful to have access to this service, it beats the high pharmacy prices and waiting in line. But, they need to improve their service and delivery. I'd give them an A+ if they didn't create unnecessary delays with every order.

Time to accept insurance!
PRJKT RUBY was the first service I tried, and I was SO HAPPY to find it, especially since I had a bad doctor that was having me come in way to often just to get refills; can’t afford that copay every time. However, now there are more services like this, some of which accept insurance, so I will be switching since they cost less. I also don’t like that the brands that are provided here keep changing. Makes me suspicious. Thus, my rating is average.

Not a bad program

When I first started using Prjkt Ruby 2 years ago there was an issue.
My state requires a medical consultation, one that should be ok for 1 full year. I did the consultation as required & received my 1st, 3 month supply. When I began my last pack of the 3 I went onto the website to set up a recurring order. I did not do this initially because I was unsure the pills I ordered would be right for me & wanted to be sure before placing a recurring order. The order I placed should have shipped out before I got to the last 7 days of pills but I had not received it yet.
I checked the website & saw there was a hold on my order, pending medical consultation. I called & 2 weeks later someone finally called me back. They were having an issue with the company who did the consultations (the same company they are still using) and required I go through the whole process again. This company only offers consultations during times I am at work so it took several more weeks before I was able to schedule with them. Due to this, I did not get my order for another 2 months nor was I offered anything for the trouble I had to go through. When I am not on birth control I have non stop bleeding & very painful cramps. I had 2 months of this. Since this issue, I have been afraid to change my prescription to see if any of the others offered would be better for me.
