I used prjkt ruby for 4 years. Throughout those 4 years, I was extremely happy with the ease, the auto-refill meant I didn't even have to think about it. It was mailed to my address every 3 months. When I moved, I was easily able to change my address. The consult calls were usually quick and to the point. However, I recently completed my consult call and the lady refused to approve my refill due to my answer on the pap smear question - that I had not had one. I understand the importance of a pap smear as a preventative measure to cervical cancer, but it is in NO WAY related to my birth control use - therefore should NOT be used as a tool to force women to take the test. Their website even states on the FAQ about if PAP smears are required - "No. A PAP smear is not required in order to start birth control. A PAP smear is a screening test for cervical cancer and you should simply follow the recommendation of your primary care provider regarding the appropriate frequency of having a PAP smear. Birth control does not increase the incidence of cervical cancer. The most common cause of cervical cancer is a virus that can be contracted by a woman having sexual intercourse without barrier protection, such as a condom." To get to the point, I was very satisfied, but now I'm very frustrated with this experience and the cancellation of my refills due to my lack of preventative testing for an unrelated medical condition. I have now decided to try NURX. (Who does not have this requirement, and is cheaper monthly for the same product that I've been receiving AND has at at home HPV Screening Test available).

I take birth control 3 months consecutively so I only have my period every 3 months. If you do the timeline, I am always waiting an extra week after my period to start up again on the birth control because Ruby only ships out every 75 days,should be more around every 60 days they ship out.

I think over all product is decent but how y’all have your customer service set up is ridiculous. Anytime I’ve tried calling, emailing, or online chat I never get through or no response back! Y’all need to make IG easier access for customers to edit their shipping and payment stuff!!!

The good: Need birth control pills (BCP)? You can get them--that is, you can get something--quickly. You just need a phone interview. The bad: Let's start with Prjktruby (PR) calling me for the phone interview. In spite of how often I let them know my availability, they kept calling outside of those times. When I called PR, I was on hold so long my time ran out. Finally we connected, got pills, all is good. Except the pills themselves. I have been on generics of this Rx for years from 3-6? manufacturers, no problems. Also no period, zero. As soon as I took the one from PR, lots of problems. Problems that increase with each pack. Spotting and flow increase each month too--a lot. Not until I finished the third pack did it occur to me that everything I was experiencing was consistent with taking nothing at all. (They also tasted sweet before I swallowed them--odd.) My body was behaving as though I had stopped taking any BCP. Back to PR. After a lot of runaround, poor signal, dropped calls, calls that faded out, and more, I got a Rx for a different BCP. But no explanation. Before I fill it, I ask again. I want them to know if they are receiving inferior, adulterated, or falsified medications. Maybe mine would be the first report, but PR can be aware and not dismiss the next person who also notices and reports. Well, following my innocent question, the fun begins. They cancelled my order. Gave multiple different reasons. Can't be contacted by phone, have stopped responding to emails, won't use their in-house communication portal. Just shut down and shut tight. If you're lucky, you may get BCP quickly and easily. I got something. Still don't know what it was and probably never will. Doesn't look like PrjktRuby is willing to help me going forward, either. }} Update {{ Prjkt Ruby responded. I appreciate the apology. They are rare and valued. I don't blame Prjkt Ruby about the pills themselves. I know "not all generics are the same" is pretty standard advice. However, my body's reaction to the pills provided by PR was kind of shocking. I consider it worth a look at your supply chain, perhaps flagging the lot number etc. No such response. Not even the standard remark about generics. More like a 'nah, couldn't happen' brush off. Locking the door to further communication made it worse, and makes the operation look at best, uncaring and at worst, suspect. My overall assessment: a valuable service filling a need. If it works for you, great. You may experience a good bit of inconvenience along the way, and in that case, expect little/no support. Addressing the company's response: my review notes NUMEROUS interactions with PR that were problematic. So if a lack of attention to detail was the problem, that continued quite consistently over a long period of time. In other words, it may be this apology itself that "misses the mark," with notably inadequate attention to detail.

I love what PRJKT stands for and have consistently used the service! However, I have been really turned off by the highly politicized social media posts recently. It makes me feel like PRJKT is only for girls or the same standpoint. Being more open and accepting to all points of view would be awesome

I signed up for auto refill in January for refills in June. I forgot the refill was coming up by the time June rolled around and my card was charged without a reminder email being sent. I was very upset. I had my card frozen because it was also under a different name and I thought my card was hacked. I received an email saying my card would be charged the day after the charge occurred. I will definitely change to a company that lets you know before charging your account. I was also confused as to why there was only 2 packs in that shipment when it t normally 3.

Things were fine with this company until they stopped having the birth control I’ve been on for years. The replacement was supposed to be almost the exact same. I’ve been on the new for 4 months and my periods have all become random and show up all times of the month. I’ve have cravings like no other with this new pill. I’ve been using Chateal EQ for over 5 years and they now only offer Levora and I dislike it very much.

I’m very upset at the way I was treated not only by an employee but then by a “supervisor” when I expressed my concerns over how my issue was being handled. They need to have staff that care more about helping a disappointed customer. I was appalled that I was basically told “oh well, tough” when I indicated I didn’t feel my concern was being properly dealt with. Thank you for collecting this info, it gives me slight hope that someone IS watching out and maybe can change the protocol there.
