Mrs. Cheryl is the most amazing teacher! she's so kind and passionate about helping us practice for the SAT! ♡

They had all the resources I needed to practice all of the skills that the SAT demands. I also loved the videos they provided with teachers that knew exactly what they were talking about.

Raised my ACT score 4 points after only 40 hours of studying. Great program!

The lessons are not worth $399, they overcharge their customers for those low quality lessons, also lessons & quiz are about 45-90 minutes each, 40+ lessons in total. If you don't have 60-120 hours to study SAT, then you'd better to get SAT book for $25 at Amazon. I think the SAT book may help students to prepare SAT efficiently. This web site is NOT recommended for those students who want to improve SAT score within weeks, it's for those who is able to commit 2 hours per days for 3 months period. The fact is that most of students who need to take SAT are juniors and seniors, they already have heavy workload and extracurriculars, 60 - 90 hours on SAT is not affordable.

Hi Patrick, we're sorry you didn't have a great experience with our program. As mentioned on our website in the program's description, the program includes 49 lessons; one lesson per "skill" tested on the SAT. The length of a lesson depends on how much time a student needs to take on the timed quiz portion. Regarding quality, PrepScholar's lessons and practice questions were made by perfect scorers who have mastered the SAT, and our students improve 160 points on average after completing the program. Our program is a good option for students who need to improve their score within weeks because 1) it's self-paced and you can decide how quickly you complete it, and 2) it's customized, so you get to skip any "core level" lessons and go straight into more advanced/difficult content on the areas you are already good at. We've always recommended spending about 50 hours in our program before your first test. This amount of time is in line with most prep companies' courses when factoring in hours of instructions, homework, practice tests, etc.

Good to have specific guidance on question types that have shown up in the past. I compared with a couple of other possible test-prep sites, and PrepScholar was the best after doing the "free trial" for them all. Major issue: Program sold as covering PSAT, but in fact it just gives us the SAT program. Seems like false advertising. Still, we are using it, for lack of better alternatives. Second major issue is that the PSAT is changing format/content/time for Fall 2023, and as far as I can tell PrepScholar has not done any adjustment for this. A separate comment is that SAT prep seems more effectively for math than for reading. I think that this is more the nature of the subject than anything about PrepScholar. I hope this helps you help us for the Fall PSAT.

Hi Mark, thanks for leaving a review. The SAT and PSAT 10/11 overlap in nearly every regard and that's why our prep is the same for both as it's not necessary to have two distinct prep courses (with separate sign up fees) for the PSAT and SAT. Our program prepares students for both exams. One of the reasons for listing them separately is that our point improvement guarantee works a bit differently for the two tests. For PSAT, it's 150+ points and we rely on your pre- and post-PrepScholar PSAT score to compare your score. For SAT, it's 160+ points and we rely on your pre-PrepScholar PSAT/SAT to compare your score with your post-PrepScholar SAT score. We're working diligently to update our program to reflect the upcoming changes. Our plan is to make our Digital PSAT/SAT Prep available early this summer so that students have more than enough time to prepare for the Digital PSAT (first offered in October 2023) and the Digital SAT (first offered in the US in March 2024). Students who sign up for PrepScholar before then will also receive access to the Digital PSAT/SAT Prep once it's available.

I really enjoyed working with my tutor Paul Dueck who gave me a lot of helpful advice. I also found the drills helpful, although I would appreciate a little bit more targeted drills or student control to unlock skills they need the most help on.
