The website is easy to use and it is difficult to get mods on your server for some reason after copying and pasting with Filezilla.
The support team can be either fast or slow. Recently I made a mistake on my purchase and it took them a while to resolve it and to respond to me.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review we really appreciate it.
We’re glad to hear you found our website easy to use! That said, we’re sorry to hear you ran into trouble installing mods through FileZilla. Mod setup can definitely be confusing depending on the server type/version, and our team is always happy to walk you through it step-by-step to get everything working properly.
We also want to apologize for the delay you experienced with support recently. We aim to respond as quickly as possible, but we know consistency matters, and we’re actively working to improve response times so issues like purchase mistakes and account changes get resolved faster.
I have sent you a request for more information so we can look into your most recent case and see why the resolution time was slow

Support is not where it used to be
I have been a customer of PloxHost for four years. Initially, I was attracted by their competitive pricing and exceptional service. Even their basic server configurations offered decent hardware, which was suitable for my needs as my Minecraft server grew. I upgraded a few times over the years and appreciated the value.
However, about four months ago, I encountered an issue with creating a new backup. Despite several attempts, each backup failed. I opened a support case, but after a week of intermittent responses, I was told there was no immediate solution and that a new tool to address the issue would be developed in the future. I had to download the entire game folder manually to complete the backup, which was frustrating. Around this time, I also realized that Discord support was discontinued, leaving me without a convenient way to follow up on my case.
Eighteen days ago, I opened another case, which still awaits a reply to this day.
The final straw came with a case I initiated on a recent Saturday. Despite PloxHost’s claim of 24/7 support on their website, my experience was quite different. Players reported severe lag and disconnections, making the server unplayable. After verifying the server vitals and rebooting, the issues persisted, suggesting a network problem. I submitted a support ticket marked as critical at 11 AM, but after two hours without a response, I followed up. I also tried contacting support through Discord but found the support channel restricted, even though my account was linked.
Finally, I reached out via sales chat, where I received a response from Sales: ‘Gonna keep it real with you. You are not our only customer. And we have a backlog of tickets. You’ll need to be patient.’ Eventually, four hours later, Support addressed the ticket. I understand this occurred over a weekend, but even an acknowledgment or a status update would have gone a long way toward showing that my case was being handled. Additionally, I was disappointed by the dismissive tone from Sales, especially as a loyal customer of four years.
Ultimately, I decided to switch to another host the same day. I am now paying slightly more for significantly better performance and support that reminds me of the quality PloxHost provided four years ago. To clarify, my interactions with the support team over the years have generally been positive—they are knowledgeable and helpful. However, recent experiences suggest the team may be understaffed, and perhaps Sales had an off day.

Updated after 6 months of use.
This is an update to my previous 5-star review after 6 months of use. This review focuses on the budget Minecraft hosting. I have upgraded from my last 3-gigabyte budget Minecraft hosting to the 8-gigabyte budget hosting.
Plox provides a decent hosting experience for the money you pay for; however, it lacks in many other aspects. Like my last complaint, the UI is not only atrocious, but it doesn't function. The CPU and RAM indicators are inaccurate to how much my server is under load. Something as trivial as the akarin optimization flags are locked behind a paywall and are only available to servers with over 5 GB of ram. The hosting interface frequently breaks with deadlinks that make you run around in circles.
My experience with support has been mediocre at best. They are relatively quick at getting back; however, support displays a lack of knowledge in Minecraft server hosting.
You should expect suboptimal performance if you're using plox. Overall I'm still happy. The price is alright, and the issues are still bearable.

Pekish services
(Note this is on a 6gb plan 10 player slots) Service plans for the minecraft hosting seem to have gotten slower over the time of being with them, Ran a vanilla 1.16 server for awhile and noticed a lot of skipping ticks, switched it to a different jar that's suppose to help with performance, helped the skipping ticks but the tps started dropping which caused block lag but the console never got spammed or mentioned once skipping ticks. Server didn't have plugins nor datapacks. I don't recommend the minecraft hosting plans but i do recommend the dedicated plans but you'll have to contact them to list the parts and for them to give the price, Wish they could have some pre-selected ones that their techs can recommend for performance. Also the discord bot hosting plans are great but not really any guided steps to add its token, i had to go through every setting to finally find where the token is suppose to go, would be nice if that can be added to the auto setup in the future.

Good servers, but bad support
Their servers are great, good performance and everything. But when it comes to support, if you just want to upgrade your server(forexample to dedicated IP) it is a PAIN in the ass, they tell you to do something only for you having to wait 1 day for a response. Like I had an issue, they didnt know what it was, I PMed support as they told me to, waited 3 days. Then I finnally spoke out and told them I wanted to switch host because of the support. INSTANTLY I got an answere to my question, and how to fix it. So if you need support if you got an issue, dont expect them to answere within a day(this has happend multiple times so I gave up the host).
They also say "Unlimited storage", thats fake. They dont have that, you have to tell them if the server gets full and they fix it but still

Good Experience
I thought it was sketchy since it was cheaper, than PebbleHost, but I had tried it out over the reviews. The support is that quick, since they don't have a whole lot of staffs, but the shortest response time was at least 30 minutes while the longest would be an hour. Overall though, I had a few problems with starting up the server, due to the server IP being already used, but that was an easy fix. I bought a 5GB server for around 22 mods with 6 players and it had run pretty smoothly. The only problem was lag ticks when cutting wood, but that was all. I never really had any server problems other than that. It's been 2 weeks now and it runs well, so I recommend, if you got the patience!

You get what you pay for.
Its honestly not bad but not great either. Its cheap and you can get a server up and going pretty quickly but there are quite a bit of issues you can encounter and when you do, don't expect the support team to really help you. Its slow and tedious. They're friendly but not very helpful.

My Review: It's okay
My Review:
Prices: 9.5/10. Great prices on MC services.
Support General: 7/10 The Staff are usually helpful.
Support Response Time: 6/10 Mostly generally within 1-2 hours which is acceptable with me. Sometimes though it takes a day or two, for a simple job, creating a multicraft account.
Overall: 7/10, I like prices, but support could be improved, but I feel like the price makes up for it!
