Pit boss is denying my warranty as the smoker was not bought at a Lowe’s. I find this extremely disingenuous and dishonest. They put stickers all over the box and the display stating 5 year warranty on any pit boss manufactured by dansons. Poor quality, poor service, and a lawsuit waiting to happen. Our pitboss caught fire while smoking a brisket, the hopper and auger system malfunctioned apparently allowing the hopper itself to catch fire. Now we are stuck without a grill because Pitboss does not want to honor the warranty. They will give you the run around, asking you to dissasemble it and work on the 120v electrical, send you random parts, and make excuses when the random parts don't solve the problem. Their goal is to give you the run around until your warranty expires. We are lucky enough that it didn't burn the house down or start a fire in the neighborhood. I will never trust another pitboss grill, this is a company that does not care about their customers.

Absolutely the biggest waste of money ever. I spent $500 on a vertical smoker and have yet to be able to use it on 2 back to back occasions. I've spent hours on the phone with customer service. Spent weeks waiting on replacement parts to come in the mail. The only place that seems suitable for my smoker is the dump. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from pit boss as you can.

I've purchased my first and last Pit Boss smoker/grill. I purchased my 1600 Pro PS1 on 5/30/2022. Since the date of purchase to 10/30/23, Pit Boss has sent 6 ignitors (3 of which were the wrong ignitor and 1 fried the PID), 6 PID controllers (2 which were the wrong part) plus other parts. Today I received what was supposed to be a replacement ignitor. Guess what, yep wrong part. They sent me an ignitor for a Louisiana grill. Today was the sixth + time Pit Boss has sent me the wrong part. I brought that to the customer rep's attention. I asked him to expedite seeing how many times they've sent the wrong parts. All the rep said was "I understand your frustration". Apparently satisfied customers are not very important. I'm fed up with the quality of their parts and their customer service. I can only imagine what will happen when my warranty is up. If I've had all these parts replaced under warranty, what is going to like when the warranty expires ($$$$)?

Bought PB820 competition series smoker in Aug. 2022, seasoned upon first use, covered, and cleaned after every cook (5 total at the time), the unit rusted on the outside of the barrel where the lid meets the barrel. Called PB and was told its cosmetic rust and not under warranty. Fast forward ~2 mo. later and more rust on the outside of the barrel. Used high heat Rustoleum paint for grills after properly sanding the spots down to clean metal. 3 months later and the rust came back. Redid the paint & sanding, rust came back. Metal is oxidizing and the lid & barrel must have a metal reaction with each other. Called PB 10/19/23 show more rust spots and that the 2nd paint coat did not help. Told its not under warranty & I could still use the unit to cook. They offered $50 gift certificate online for my trouble. I want a new unit as the metal is defective on this unit. Going to buy a Traeger as many of my friends who have them (much older than my unit too) have not experienced any of the issues I experienced with my PB420D unit nor the rust occurring with the PB820. This is the second and last PB smoker I will own!

It is one of the worst grills I've ever bought in my life jams up all the time I've maybe smoked five things on it before I started having argue problems followed all the directions from the beginning and I would not recommend them

Have called 3 times, worst money I have eve spent on anything. Almost a grand spent and their Laredo is truly a POFS. Do not waste your hard earned dollars on this so called smoker.

I bought a pit boss copperhead, and used it for 3 hours. After 3 hours the igniter failed and shorted the control fuse. I replaced the fuse and contacted customer support where they told me they would send me a new igniter. I've now waited 3 1/2 weeks and still haven't recieved it. I've contacted them again twice and got the same BS responses saying it would be coming soon. I will be returning it to Walmart this weekend before the 30 day return policy expires and will never purchase from pit boss again. ABSOLUTELY DISSATISFIED
