I’ve only been a member for a week and I have already improved in several areas of my playing. My knowledge of the fret board and scales is for fundamental, and the daily warmups from my masterclass have helped me build some new finger strength and I feel more confident in improvising/soloing! The downloadable content is invaluable, plus there is an avenue for every type of guitarist to travel down and learn new things or build on what you already know.

Pickup Music has been an amazing investment. I’ve only been playing the guitar for a couple months and I take lessons locally. However, the knowledge that I have gained through Pickup Music has been nothing short of helpful/amazing/valuable/whatever word you want to use. The way the instructors teach the class and show you how to do things on the guitar is perfect. I highly recommend this for any and every guitar player.

There are a lot of guitar platforms out there. Pretty easy to get overwhelmed! Pickup Music has a great interface, engaging & talented instructors, and the way that lessons are broken down is a great learning tool. Don't hesitate - it's an incredible tool for any level guitarist!

I am really enjoying my experience with Pickup Music. My command of the fretboard has increased dramatically thru the Caged Boot Camp with Dr. Molly Miller. That course alone is worth the fee. Like everything in music, you get what you put into it. I’m a fan of Pickup Music and look forward to unlocking even more skills in the days to come.

I am a member since the beginning. I've soon recognized it was different from other lessons and courses online and I really improved my knowledge of theory and practice. A lot of videos and pdf material.I really think it's unbeatable.

With Pickup Music, I feel like I’m learning so much and their structured lessons are exactly what I need. I can’t recommend this site enough if you’re an intermediate guitarist.

Pickup Music is incredible!! I would highly recommend it to anybody who is trying to learn guitar without a teacher. I have been playing for a while and recently got back into it and wanted to learn more about Jazz specifically. I was thinking about subscribing for a while, but I wasn't sure about how committed I would be once I got on it. The way that it is set up makes it so fun to even learn traditionally 'less exciting' topics like modes. Already just by doing a couple of the more basic classes I have learnt so much. I haven't tried the other subscription services out there, but I can say for sure that Pickup Music has everything you could possibly want/need. Theory classes, technique classes and challenges (like the Songsquad content and Essential Licks packages). The team is also super responsive, providing personalised feedback in office hours as well as in response to videos that you can send them. On top of that, any questions you have in the comments section are answered within a day or two!

I'm an old funky blues/rocker stuck in the pentatonic/mixolydian/dorian modes with all the usual chops since the 70s. I retired from work determined to make the transition to jazz. I've tried other tuition sites and books, and I've managed some of it by ear, but the step-by-step way Cecil Alexander has shown me exactly what I need to make the transition and to understand what I'm doing has been a revelation. Understanding a musical genre means you can actually improvise rather than just copy standard chops. I'm already making stuff up - so far it's not great, but it's mine! Only people who know this stuff very well can explain it clearly and in a relaxed way. They're quite rare, but he's one of them. I'll be sticking around to the bitter end here.
