I December 2023, I ordered for three medicines. Amazon did not deliver any of three medicines ordered by me, instead Amazon delivered two wrong medicines. I took up with customer care and informed of wrong delivery. I got a message from Amazon that refund has been processed on 15 Dec 2023. But so far no refund has come to me.

I have been a Amazon Prime member for many years but never for pharmacy. I opened the application folder and found they have my insurance ID. I have never given this to Amazon and am not pleased they have it without my permission. I currently pay zero for seven prescriptions and seriously doubt Amazon can match that.

I signed up for this because it was supposed to help on the cost of my medication. They said that in some cases coupons would be applied and Amazon Prime member discounts would be applied as well. I used to use Eagle Pharmacy (based out of Florida) as my mail order pharmacy for Synthroid. A 1 months supply was $29.50. After transferring the script to Amazon, I am now able to order a 90 day supply for $100.50 and that is with a $48 vendor coupon applied. So basically with coupon and being a Prime member I would be spending $12 more for using them. Without a coupon and being a Prime member, it would be $59.50 more expensive.

The first time I ordered was great. The prescription was delivered to my door The following month I placed my order in the exact same manner and it never arrived. Tracking showed it had been returned by the post office since they used a physical address and not a PO Box. I couldn't make the customer service rep understand the issue so I asked for a manager. He refused to apologize or even acknowledge the issue, even after I said I wouldn't be able to use Amazon Pharmacy if they couldn't verify the shipping method. It's your medicine, don't risk it.

Absolutely AWFUL experience! There is always some fiasco with my insurance, several delays, and customer support is so unhelpful it's crazy. Worked well the first time and it just goes further down hill every time.

I was super excited when Amazon started the Pharmacy. I looked up every medication I’m on and compared it to Walgreens and I thought it would be quite a savings for the year You can’t save money on medication you don’t receive. I’m no longer excited. Now I’m just frustrated. I received a script seven days ago. I called 24 hours later to ask why I couldn’t get it yet. Pharmacist told me it could be under review for three days. A total of seven days after I receive the script it says no longer available. I got into a chat to find out what was going on. I was told it was not available I asked, is it not available anywhere or just Amazon? And they said they reached out to my doctors office to clarify dosage and never heard back. I asked why they never contacted me to let me know there was a problem? I’m just sitting over here waiting for a medication. The chat ended and they never responded again thanks for nothing customer service. I called my doctors office. They said they had not received any calls or faxes from that pharmacy. And we figured out a plan moving forward without Amazon. At this point, I would suggest you not bother Amazon does not have it together enough to handle Pharmacy . And it’s too important to not have it together. This is medication we’re talking about people we cannot just be sitting over here for days and days and days waiting and then you just write us off and never even tell us there’s an issue. That’s extremely harmful, and not at all helpful and very frustrating I would proceed a cautioned if you do decide to go with Amazon Pharmacy I really hope they get their stuff together because I think it could work in the future if they can make it work.

I have tried to use their service twice , but this time setting up the account was a pain in the neck because the prescription was for my mom . I spent one hour on the phone with an employee , then her supervisor just to be able to add my mom to my amazon account . After everything is set up , I tried to transfer her prescription by having her doctor send the order , after several days, nothing . I tried again by transferring the prescription from Walgreens to Amazon and after waiting a few days, nada . A lot of time wasted and my mom just have two pills left . Very disappointed

They are helpless
