Amazon Pharmacy started out as an easy way to get my meds and quickly turned into a nightmare. Shipments disappear with no explanation. Packages delivered to the wrong address multiple times. Switching back to a regular pharmacy a total nightmare with customer service people who LIE to you. Never again.

Warning warning.... Don't used. Worst experience. A delayed prescription refill due to a supply issue like always, lasting nearly a month without notification. I`m tired to hear that, plus I run out of medication. Transferring my prescription to a different pharmacy a local one, a new issue, insurance was charged by Amazon Pharmacy and my prescription was denied. I would not recommend to used amazon pharmacy, are to many issue.

the people I have spoken with are really nice. But I have been trying to get an insurance price for my meds for a month and Amazon Pharmacy won't give me a prices on what my insurance will cover and what is my responsibility until the meds are ready for refills. By that time it will be too late to return to my old pharmacy before I run out of the meds. Did I mention these meds are for my heart? The pharmacy tells me that they need verification from the doctor, when just yesterday, the doctor called in a new prescription. Is that not verification enough? I'm not happy and am thinking about changing back to my old pharmacy.

I really want to like Amazon Pharmacy and I do like things about it. At best, ordering is easy and delivery is much faster than CVS Caremark. More often than not I have that experience. I go to big practices that are totally wired in to the big pharmacies, so when my practice sends a Rx electronically you bet it goes. However, twice recently my practice pinged a Rx to Amazon and ... nothing. Then you get to deal with customer service which SUCKS. You can't talk to a person. NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING. After lots of time on "chat," they say your practice never sent the Rx. That's bull! They ping it then send me a confirming message on My Chart. I've never had it not go through until Amazon. I know it's stuck in the system somewhere but Amazon flatly denies. I ask for a supervisor who also denies. So I go hat in hand back to my practice and say sorry please send this again because, you know, Amazon. They send it again and Amazon fills it lickety split. So the epitaph is that Amazon works great when it works but God Forbid you need customer service. It really doesn't exist.

The bad is really Bad. I had other prescriptions that were delivered quickly and correctly. Then I had one that was listed as delivered, I was in the house at the time it was listed as delivered, nothing arrived. The link to the picture did not show me anything. I called, and the customer service said that it wasn't them that lost it, but the delivery service. I was clear that this is not my issue, but their issue. They described the picture that the medication was left at. I told them that was not my house. They said that all they could do is to try to refill it, but since it had just been filled the insurance wouldn't allow the refill. After over an hour on the phone, the solution that they came up with was for us to drive around and try to find the medications. No address, just a description of what the door, door mat, and a pumpkin on the step. It now shows on my profile as it was never 'authorized' -TERRIBLE

I had high hopes when first trying to sign up, but... 1. No way to set start time to a future date to synchronize with current timing. 2. Difficult to communicate changes on line. 3. Prices are that much less than my exorbitant insurance price for a particular med. 4. Insurance price delayed over a month. 5. Chat less than helpful. 6. Overall, less convenient than a local provider.

Their communication sucks. I have a blood pressure medication I rely on. They run out of it occasionally or they get backed up and they don't tell you there is any problem. By then you know you have ordered it and you are on your last bit of the medicine just to find out it may be delayed further or they often recommend you transfer your rx out to another pharmacy. If you do this Amazon takes its time completing the transfer delaying you even more. They have NO PROBLEM sending you 800 text messages when they do things well but not a single one if there is a problem until after you call to check on it, then the texts come rolling in, by then it is too late. They are going to kill someone.

My automatically renewed prescription is normally zero cost. AI renewed it prematurely and charged me a discounted price of $10. I received about 4 automated texts at 9 PM on a Friday night. I had to wait until Monday to try to resolve the issue. Both reps were as robotic as they could be. I actually wondered if they were AI!! Nobody cared. Nobody resolved. All they did is repeat what was on my account
