I received a coupon in the mail for a $20 discount for a purchase greater than $100, usable in-store or online. I needed new golf shoes so I went to their website and made my selection. As I attempted to enter the discount code I was informed that it could not be accepted. I called the store and they couldn't get the code to take, so they directed me to "Customer Care" who told me that the brand I selected was exempted from the discount. The coupon spelled out in detail exempted brands, and the one I'd selected, Skechers, was not listed. Customer Care told me I was out of luck as the corporate policy was such that he could not honor the discount. Truth-in-advertising is protected by the FTC.
